My rooms Aircon was locked, tried to get sorted but it was just locked at other temps after each discussion with reception. Know this isn't an every room thing as had colleagues staying who said theirs were fine.

Very central. Very stylish. Very comfortable bed and nice room. I thought it could have been bigger but I was quite happy with it.
The lighting in the room is terrible. It’s very difficult to see anything.

The room I had was spacious and very clean. The position of the hotel is very useful. You have the tram at 100 meters, you can reach the main square by foot.
The pillows and the “mattress” were not very comfortable. After 2 nights sleeping in that bed I had lower back pain. The room service is on request and I don’t know if you have to pay for it. I didn’t even bother to ask and try it. It seemed to me that there is no communication between the management and the staff, because I booked the breakfast for the first morning and the person who were in charge at the restaurant didn’t even had my number room on the list. When I did the check out it turned out that I would still have to pay the amount of my stay, so they had to check. Fortunately for me they check and I didn’t have to pay more, but still another misunderstanding that makes you feel like you just wanna go away.

All the staff at the reception was extremely kind and helpful. Particularly Maria. She helped me change a room I had been given that was very dark and oppressing.
When I arrived I was given room 156 (I think). When I went in, I was shocked to discover that room was very long and that it had only a tiny window in one of the very far end corners making the it very dark and claustrophobic( more like cellar room. This room was sold as a double suite and I found this particular lack of light and air very oppressive for its price. Luckily I got a much better room on the 3 floor that had great widows that looked out at blooming tree!

The location
The service was appalling. The room was not cleaned during our stay and even when I requested replacement towels they were not delivered.
There is an app through which everything is supposed to be requested which takes away the personal touch and also does not work properly. It also keeps sending WhatsApp messages asking how the ‘vibe’ is which is incredibly annoying, especially when the ‘vibe’ is not good, but nothing is being done to improve the ‘vibe’.
The staff were nice and friendly when you got to speak to them. The general manager did get in touch after we left and they have refunded our breakfast on the second day by way of an apology

Location; the canal view from our 5th floor room was lovely.
No negatives, although the cooked part of the breakfast offering was not great.
