Brilliant hotel, hotel upgraded room at check in (room was massive) included robes etc, balcony was really nice to chill and watch the world go by. Netflix and YouTube on tv. Couldn’t ask for more. A must if you’re dragging your partner to Amsterdam for a few days, she won’t complain. Everything you need is within a few minutes walking of the hotel. 1 tram and short train journey to airport.
Not the hotels fault but the added city tax at check in may catch some people out, nearly €60 euro for two people for 3 nights, maybe this should be added and included when paying for stay

Clayton always good. Great location and the bar was lovely, great cocktails and staff. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable
Over all kind of grubby , the carpets in the hallways needed a vacuum and the bedroom carpets very stained

Location
I was very excited to bring my girlfriend here for a weekend. I had been raving about how good the hotel used to be before it was Hard-Rock-ified. I had hoped now that Clayton had taken it over that it would be restored to its former glory but alas no. Yes, the Iggy Azalea underwear is gone from the lobby however that's where the restoration seems to have stopped. They've retained the horrible carpet throughout so that once you leave the lobby you're assailed by what looks like really cheap bedroom carpet throughout. I had reserved a room with a balcony and upon arrival was told we'd been upgraded to a deluxe room. I'm not sure we have the same notion of what constitutes deluxe. Again with the cheap carpet, on top of which the TV didn't work, the balcony was filthy with cigarette butts and they had retained the disco lighting and see-through bathrooom door from the hard-rock era. I paid a premium for this hotel and was hugely disappointed. I will not go back.

Beautiful. And great location. Restaurant was very nice - had a delicious dinner there our last night. Also got take away cafe lattes from the bar.
The lighting was way too dim. The pillows were too firm.
