We paid for a deluxe double room. Our room was gloomy facing a brick wall with drainpipes and mossy outbuilding. The shower had no safety handrail near the shower so it felt very unsafe. Our breakfast on the last day was really awful - bad very slow service, runny uncooked eggs, forgotten order for fruit salad, rude waiter.

Great location - hotel is conveniently located on a tram stop (direct line from Central Station). Lots of restaurants around, easy walking distance to the museums and other highlights. Beds are very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.
Minor inconvenience that there was no cooling mechanism in the room (canal facing rooms get sun in the afternoon which is lovely but traps heat). The rooms are older so there are some creaky floors and you can hear this from other rooms as well - earplugs solved this problem, so be sure to pack them!
