The pool!
Bed very uncomfortable. Cleaning the room was a problem..had to keep asking for it to be cleaned and when it was do done, it was a bad job.

Location was perfect. Easy to locate and get to from Centraal. Breakfast was very good.
TV channels available had no good Kids channels. In fact, most channels were unavailable and I had to flip thru each channel in the Menu to find out if it was available to view. History Channel was not available. None of the Disney channels were available.

The hotel is an easy walk from the train station with luggage, although is is perhaps somewhat further than some to the main areas. The historic and artistic building is interesting and attractive. We chose a canal view room which did have a very nice view when relaxing in the room. The breakfast selection was excellent. I swam every morning and was often the only person in the leisure area. The bar was pleasant. Overall we were pleased with our choice of accommodation.
Our room was still not ready some time after check-in time, which was rather inconvenient, although we were given a drink in the bar.

Wonderful
Have stayed here several times before, never disappointing! My wife and I felt very welcome, the room allocation was just as we requested and the greeting card from the hotel’s hospitality manager was a very nice touch. Location is perfect for access to Centraal and De Wallen, as well as the ferries north. Building is beautiful, service is excellent and breakfast is worth booking. The pool, hot tub and saunas are always empty, can only assume that folks don’t know they are complementary! We look forward to our next visit.
Sadly, one of our favourite features of the hotel wasn’t working on this visit. The original guest lift follows the building’s design features beautifully, but was a bit temperamental. It was out of order on this visit and so we had to use the more modern lift around the corner instead. Not really something to dislike, but we hope they get it working again!
