Wonderful
Good breakfast and nice canal view from the room, that was spacious. Beautiful old architecture and nice atmosphere. Special thanks to Finnish waiter.
Minor issue was a noisy swinging door in the hallway that sometimes woke us up early in the morning.

Nothing to hold on too to help your balance to get up or down
Could not possibly return as too dangerous for the elderly we were all 80 or over in our party

Old building that needs repair ( our safe didn’t work, bad smell in bathroom all the time)
Battery in the blinds remote needed changing- that should be caught by housekeeping staff.
Bar soap and disposable wash cloth was not replaced after being used up.

Have stayed here many times over 10 years! The building is beautiful and location is fantastic. Great to see one familiar friendly face during our stay!
In years gone by the hotel has always acknowledged my birthday and I have received a card, macaroons and even champagne but this year I was disappointed! Sadly, the changes and cut backs in recent visits and many changes of staff have been very noticeable. We did however get to stay in our favourite room!

The location was perfect. Very close to the train station and canal cruises, many restaurants within walking distance, quiet at night. The staff was amazing everyone friendly and helpful
The room was a little dated but the view was perfect looking over the water and the train station. We did not mind that the room could use an update.

The hotel is conveniently close to the central station. They have a wonderful breakfast with many choices. The rooms are large, and our view was nice. The concierge services are top-notch. We felt safe walking to and from the city. The bar was fun.
We stayed for a week and found that we had to request extra cleaning for our room. Sometimes the shower was only warm during the day or night. The taxi we requested for our flight back was very expensive, about twice what we paid to get there from the airport. We used Booking for our first taxi.

If you like hotels with history, that's the one! It is located in a historical building, fully refurbished inside but all the features were preserved. We were amazed by the room size, it was very spacious! And comfortable. The view to the canal was stunning. We really enjoyed the hotel spa (free of charge), the pool temperature was warm.
This hotel is a bit sobre. I would not say that it merits 5 stars but 4 stars for sure. The staff at the reception was not very welcoming. But to be honest, I didnt find any serious drawbacks.

The staff was exceptional! We had a problem with luggage left at airport and they very graciously and efficiently helped us take care of that. They also helped us get tickets to attractions at the last minute. Concierges Geoffrey and Marcos were especially attentive and solicitous. They made our brief stay exceptionally comfortable.
