Location -really central and close to the station - superb
Where to start. Dirty rooms, threadbare towels , wholes in bed linen, lack of staff, poo and wee stained bed. Really stingy mini bar offering, had to ask for everything a few times, hot tub not hot, poor cleaning of rooms

We were out all day and returned at 5:00 PM to find that our room had not been cleaned. Later that night, we needed soap for the shower, which was missing. I also requested a wake-up call for 5:00 AM for our flight, but no one called. They couldn't find the trolley to take our luggage down. Overall, it felt like a lack of attention to service.

The swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi were great and was a fantastic escape in a very very cold Amsterdam.
Service at this hotel was far below par. Whilst there were some fantastic elements of the stay, it was overshadowed by the poor service from both front desk and housekeeping. We stayed for 3 nights and had asked housekeeping to tidy the room after the first night - they did not, despite asking twice at different times of the day at 11am and 3pm. At 6pm we saw that it had not been attended and asked the front desk. They said all housekeeping staff had left for the day and that there was nothing they could do. Fine - no real major issue. The next day, housekeeping cleaned but mistakenly took the bottom half of my partners pajamas, presumably laundered with the bedsheets themselves. When we told the concierge and front desk, they simply said it can’t have happened and there must have been a mistake. The only thing to do would be to email the hotel manager. Disappointing response. The room itself was nice, albeit very hot, with the aircon not working as the heaters were all on. (When asking if it could be turned off in our room, the front desk said ‘it takes time’, but gave no response on how to do it. Again, very poor response).

Historical, atmospheric, friendly staff, great wellness room.
The toilet and bathroom separate, and not next to each other, need to go thru bedroom , it not very convenient back and forth to get cleaning hands

This hotel was in the perfect location for exploring, just a few minutes walk from the train station. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Staff are very friendly and the leisure facilities is such a treat, staying open late too. Breakfast had so many different options.

The location.
Weird hotel, very strange and confusing layout. The staff were quite young and inexperienced. The staff don't seem to communicate well amongst themselves, cf. messages not passed on.
