Very Good
The room was spacious, clean and decently arranged with oriental furniture. Also, the breakfast was good and had varieties that accommodate everyone. I enjoyed the place and will always make it a preferred choice in my subsequent visits to Amsterdam.
The reception and entrance lobby was poorly kept and short of the standard expected of a hotel of that status. I recommend immediate refurbishing and upgrading of the entrance lobby.

The Hotel was in an excellent location and the Oriental Suite was first rate. The staff were very friendly and really helpful and the breakfast was really good. I would normally say that I really recommend this Hotel, but there were some adverse issues...
We ordered room service and unfortunately it simply never appeared - the kitchen was supposed to close/last orders for room service was supposed to be at 2300 - we ordered by phone, directly to reception at 2235 and they accepted the order.
The order never showed up...., but they did put it on my Bill....although they did however remove the charge once I explained that it never actually arrived.
Also, as we were still suitably impressed with Oriental Suite, I telephoned the hotel a week later and tried to rebook the same Oriental Suite for the 8th of August...only to be told that, yes the Suite was available, but the Hotel had a policy of "not taking bookings for single overnight stays", as it was in the summer.....but I had just stayed, for one night, a week ago - in June - also "in the summer" and that prerequisite was not even mentioned!!...not exactly sure what sort of Business they are supposed to be running, but if they can simply turn down a significant payment for one of their top suites from a previous paying customer, as the intended booking would be "only for one night", and based on a dubious "seasonal" parameter then I reckon my money would be better spent elsewhere.

Staff, checked in late at 10pm but still checkout was 11am asked for a later checkout but the hotel asked for €50, after checkout I got an email from booking that hotel has accepted ur late checkout which was false . It was absolutely hot, no AC ! The hotel is very old so there is a bad odour of mold .

The room was small and not properly cleaned. During a heatwave, our room became unbearably hot as the sun was shining directly into it all day, and there was no functioning air conditioning. We politely asked if it was possible to change rooms, but our requests were ignored.
Communication with the staff was frustrating, as they showed little interest in helping us. For the price, we expected much better service and accommodation.
Choose another hotel – there are many better options in Amsterdam.

Great hotel lovely building staff were amazing.
The room was located on the ground floor, and was hot aircon didn’t work and windows were unable to be opened, asked staff if a windows could be opened and immediately responded, whilst trying to open a top window is nearly fell on top of the staff member but fortunately we managed to hold it and place it back, thankfully found a larger one that opened ( these windows are huge) . The windows had electricity operated curtains which open and closed randomly during the day. The bed sheet kept coming off overnight must have a slippery mattress. And finally the water pressure in the shower was very low but it got me wet.

The receptionist team who received me was not professional at all
I showed him my confirmation for two nights , he told me it is for 3 nights although I showed him all the documents , then he told me you have to call booking, I tried several times to call them without success , this took me around 30-40 minutes try to call , then he came to me again telling what is your name , I gave him the name again , he told me we have another booking with the same first name , your booking is correct two nights , this is after 40 minutes of trying to fix things .
He didn't even bother to apologize about what happened.
Last day I asked to check out at 12:00 instead of 11:00 , he ( same Guy) refused totally , I told him but you delayed my check in 40 minutes , he mentioned i understand but I cannot do it.
The guy was not flexible at all
This was my bad experience with this hotel

It’s quirky and weird. The room was huge and spacious but weirdly arranged (the lounge area didn’t face the TV for example).
It feels way past its best and the room was boiling. I turned the AC down as much as I could and it didn’t make a difference.

The bar, pool and restaurant were excellent. Staff in these areas were great, water in the foyer nice touch.
We were in a room where the bed needed replacing, big sags in the mattress. This was tried to be hidden by a soft top. Didn’t work. In a room at the back of the building, had to put a chair at the door so the internet could be used, hence many channels unavailable on tv due to this as well. Aircon not effective. This was a five star hotel and staff were informed twice and nothing, the silence was deafening. The room was definitely not the picture that went with the room.

Near the station. Good location for access to the town. Food was good.
Liked the spa facilities.
People who smoked weed left and awful smell in the lift and corridors. Some guests were very rude. I room was not ready till after 4pm with little apology and no offer of compensation or a free drink. Very expensive for what you got.

Wonderful
The staff were really helpful when there was a miscommunication with Booking com about our reservation. Our room was spacious and there was plenty of choice at breakfast. The location was convenient for us for walking arount the city centre and visiting museums. There is a good parking garage at Parking Center Oosterdok a short walk away and the Central Station is nearby.
Nothing, we really enjoyed our stay.
