The accommodation was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The facilities were well equipped, and overall we were very satisfied with our experience.
The only minor downside was that the bed was a bit worn out and slightly saggy, which made it less comfortable for sleeping.

Friendly staff, who is willing to help you get settled and where they can. Lots of groups, so lots of people and things going on, yet in the hallways it is quiet. Staff keep general spaces clean. Rooms with 4-beds are small, yet you can make it work. They offer rental bikes too.
There is some general space, although most electricity wall plugs don't work, unless you're sitting in the school bench seats. Public transport connections require you talk about 10 minutes, yet otherwise multiple options nearby.

Located right in Oosterpark, which is nice for a stroll or a run. Close to many supermarkets (all within 10 minutes walking). Staff is very friendly in willing to help. Keeps a close eye on things, and willing to think along how they can help. For the location would say it is money's worth!
The showers in the 4-bed are cleaned regularly, and often they don't drain well despite cleaning. There is no immediate public transport at the doorstep, so you will have to walk 5-10 minutes if you're travelling by public transport. Oosterpark has many homeless and addicts present, which makes it feel less friendly/safe when walking around the neighborhood/park in the evening and at night. The hostel itself is closed in the evening (card entry only), and so likely you won't encounter (m)any of these people, yet good to be aware of.

Clean room bed was comfortable.
No kettle provided. And rules state you can't bring outside food into your own room which is crazy because of how much you pay for the room and it's a hotel.

Room Number: 131 Dear Management, I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding an unacceptable incident that took place during my stay at your hostel on the night of September 25, 2026. I was officially assigned Bed 1 in Room 131. However, upon entering the room, I found that another guest was already sleeping in my assigned bed. Because it was very late, I was exhausted, and I did not wish to disturb the other guests, I had no choice but to take the unoccupied Bed 5 in the same room. On the morning of September 26, prior to the scheduled 10:00 AM check-out time, I intended to take a shower and prepare for departure. Around 09:00 AM, a female receptionist came to the room and insisted that I immediately go down to the reception desk. At the front desk, as English is not my native language, I politely requested the use of a translation application to facilitate clear communication. Instead of addressing the situation constructively, the receptionist demanded an unjustified 10 EUR 'cleaning fee' simply because I had slept in Bed 5 instead of Bed 1. Although I clearly explained that this situation occurred entirely due to your staff failing to keep my assigned bed available, I was subjected to the following unacceptable treatment: 1. Intimidation and Coercion: Throughout the conversation, a security guard standing in the background was repeatedly used to intimidate me. Every time I contested the illegitimate fee, I was treated like a criminal and pressured into tapping my credit card on the POS terminal. 2. Unprofessional and Hostile Staff Behavior: The receptionist's aggressive, dismissive tone and coercive attitude were completely contrary to standard hospitality practices. 3.
