We had a wonderful 6-night stay at the Hilton while attending a tattoo convention next door. From the moment we arrived, the check-in process was seamless, and the staff, both day and night, were consistently warm and welcoming. We were delighted to be upgraded to a larger room, and the evening team would offer us fresh cookies when we came back for the night!
Our room was cleaned daily, with coffee and tea restocked too. They also have really nice shampoo, conditioner, shower gel etc - we’ve stayed at some 5 star hotels recently that don’t even provide those! One standout moment was when we came back late one evening needing dinner after the kitchen had closed. One of the chefs who was still around kindly prepared us a sushi platter to take up to our room - it turned out to be the best sushi I’ve had on this side of the globe!
The location is excellent as well. A free ferry takes you to Amsterdam Central Station in just 10–15 minutes, and there are supermarkets and cafés nearby. We highly recommend visiting the graffiti museum just around the corner. The hotel also offers bikes for hire, which is a great way to explore the city. And if you’re looking for a good breakfast or coffee spot, Bagels & Beans (also just around the corner) serves delicious bagels and fantastic coffee!

Small room with just a small window, it looked a bit like a small prison. See photo. Don’t take a room on the lower floors! Not the right value for money.

Location was ideal. Free ferry across to the main train station is very handy whilst the area is ideal for food and drinks.

Due to a concert in the vicinity, I asked for a room on the other side of the building. There was none available, but a lower-grade room was available that was more quiet. However, they were unwilling to allow me to move to the cheaper room and reimburse the difference.
The salad in the breakfast was not fresh, with leaves looking like they were from 1-2 days before.

I did a reservation on booking app for 2 nights for 150 a night and after my other son confirmed that he will be in Amsterdam I texted the hotel and asked for an extra bed on our room. And the “ automated chat”’book anotherr room and charged me extra bed in ne of the rooms . I ended up paying a 1000 dollars for two nights stay . And the front desk person “Bente” kept saying that the mistake was done by booking and I should complain with them. So I was tired after leaving a Airbnb house … with bags and stressed on a Friday afternoon ! I was stressed after signing for the 1000 dollars stay bill and called my son . When he said that he was coming I went down the lobby and saw the receptionist jumping and celebrating her high sale ( screwed me) and when she saw me she tried to disguise the attitude with the other receptionist! I just look at her and walked to
The front door to receive my son , he ended up on the other room booked by the AI Chat bot and stayed there for 1 night and the following night the 3 of is stayed together on the room 304.
I am back to the USA and I am telling all about friends and family to about this Hilton hotel at NDSM . It was the worst experience I could ever had ! I respect the company while my husband is a loyal customer . Really it was such a
Disappointment to see how we can be exploited! And I explained to “ Bente” she kept reacting as a robot saying that it was a booking make by booking when we could see that that their automated system booked an extra room
When I asked for an extra bed on the same room ,
Conclusion : I am travelling to Amsterdam often
And have friends and clients over there … I share my experience and I am wise they will think better before booking another reservation on the same location . I am a 5 star client in all our network… and after that experience I am certain it would be the very last one
The employees ( they may be not well trained ) and just greedy to make commissions over the desk deals … we are not planning to get back there! And I will spread that experience to my 20.000 plus business connections through my business platforms! It was outrageous!

The view over Amsterdam was just what we booked the room / hotel for. V Good.
Staff helpful and welcoming, room clean and serviced each day.
One lift was out of order on arrival, the same when we left 4 nights later.
Room was on the small side , but OK.
Breakfast though the food was good but the area was very badly laid out.

I told the guy working at the hotel reservation that the room was dirty, the toilet was dirty and there was dirt left from the previous guest. He told me to go to a 5 star hotel, I was officially fired, you did not help me in any way, I hate you and your hotel, you ruined my holiday.

Very good coffee in the room .
No restaurant. Also was told when we were paying our bill to the steak house that if the hotel had booked us, we would have saved €50. And the man at reception recommended the restaurant. Was not.happy to hear that. Also the room rubbish was not cleared properly .
