Very Good
Staff and service were excellent - everyone was clearly trying to help us have the best possible stay. The hotel and rooms are spacious and charming, built into an enormous house right next to the Museumplein. We went for a "staycation", since we live in Amsterdam, and it was great to be able to go to a restaurant again in the middle of the lockdown (only for guests, of course). There's a nice spa, pool (we didn't use it), and Taiko is a really good contemporaneous Japanese restaurant. The hotel breakfast is still one of the best in town (even reduced due to COVID-19)
The overal infrastructure is a bit old: technology in general (TVs, lights, etc.) are a bit awkward or simply (many years) old, and things like the bathroom shower and airco could definitely be renewed. Given it's a high-end hotel, I expected some more comfort in those areas.

- the parking staff is very nice and welcoming, big shoutout to them - the reception staff was also extremely friendly and they speak different languages, thank you! - the spa itself and the spa staff is also great, very friendly professional smiling, they are perfect. - the location is the best for museums and walking around the city. I lived many years in Amsterdam and there is no other area I would stay in. There is also Albert Heijn there which is a big supermarket where you can buy anything you need, especially water for cheap! - room service food was amazing - gift (sweets) in the room at the arrival is always a good touch, we appreciate that. - night reception staff they very good as well, we called last minute to change our order and they were very accomodating and nice. That’s how you do it! We will come back to this hotel because the location is great, the building is beautiful and most of the staff was exeptional. Also I hope you will take in some of our feedbacks and hope to see an improvement in the restaurant staff, breakfast and who knows maybe rooms decor too :)
- bar service took 30 min to serve us 2 mojitos only which is way too long considering it was 2 drinks and the price you pay. - waitress spilled the long waited mojito on my shoe and apologized only once I wiped my shoe. Luckly it was just a sneaker shoe but the stuff needs to be careful as people wear 800 euros worth pair of shoes. Or at least an apology would be nice. - rooms decor needs some small but impactful updating (new lamps, colors, couch pillows...) the competion out there is fierce so I feel that pimp up the rooms would only be a benefit - breakfast needs also some improvement, I would advice more options of fresh bread and different cuts of meat and ham, yogurt, cake, fresh smoothies... - in the afternoon we went for a walk and when we returned and entered the hall one of the restaurants members way too promptly and directly asked us if we needed anything. We were just arrived from our walk and we were looking around and admiring the building, we said to her that we were hotel guests and we were returning to our room soon. It was not pleasant I feel that the restaurant and bar staff should not approach guests so quickly especially if they do not show any interest in the restaurant itself or menu. Let a young mixed race couple admire the building! - at the check in the reception staff said that somebody would take us to the room but we waited at the eleventor and nobody came. We then got upstairs ourselves and found somebody of the staff in the corridor who then brought us the room. Was a bit weird as it’s a 5* hotel and I would expect to be brought to the room quickly.

We know and like this hotel an have been before for food and drinks - but this was our first time overnight being a tourist in our own city, and it did not disappoint. The room (grand junior suite) was very nice, spacious and clean with a great view of the city. The staff is excellent and really aim to please at every interaction. The food in both the brasserie and japanese restaurant are very good. What also really helped make this a wonderful stay is the building itself - it just has this beautiful style that can be enjoyed just by walking through the hallways with its high ceilings. All in all, we will be back.

First hotel that i really love in Amsterdam. Looking forward to my next booking:) My son who is 9 years old loved it too
I know the hotel has a different kind of rooms. I could have loved to have a bigger window. I love natural lights . I was so lucky to still see the beautiful sunrise in the city, the window weren't that small thou. I thank that to the humble worker who helped me during the check in. Thank you so much

Me and my wife live in Amsterdam. We booked a suite just to spend a romantic night. We've done so before and stayed and most of the 5 stars in the city from the Waldorf to Okura (please stay away from Okura, worse hotel, worse staff, total hack job). After checking in and entering the suite, we were impressed but felt like we want more. We went back to reception where we met Eitan the manger. Eitan went above and beyond the call of duty looking for a room upgrade that will please us. The suite we received is truly one of the top 3 best rooms I ever stayed in. Simply amazing. Eitan's level of service was astonishing, truly remarkable. The entire staff at the hotel, from reception, the restaurant to the spa is top notch. Amsterdam is not known for the quality of service, the Conservatorium is an outlier. As a genius I've been to over 100 5 star hotels all over the world and dozens of suites. The Conservatorium is truly one of the best hotels I've stayed in. It is very rarely that I do not find a flaw, but the Conservatorium exceeded my expectations, from the room, hotel and staff. Highly recommended!
