Wonderful
The hotel is located in a prime location. Everything was super walkable.
It’s newly renovated so the amenities were nicer and modern. A few minor suggestions would be to have more and brighter lighting. The lighting in the room was dim and harsh. There were also no shelves in the bathroom which would have been nice to have. Also, the chair in my room was cool looking but super uncomfortable to sit on as it’s not a full seat cover but has gaped spaces in between. Otherwise, a cute local hotel.

Very Good
The location was awesome!! So many of the things you want to see in Amsterdam are within walking distance ( or biking)
Only thing I didn’t like about the room was the bathroom. It’s just not very private, like the person you’re staying with can hear and or see everything you’re doing in the bathroom because it’s right in front of the bed. But if you’re staying with good friends or a significant other it’s really not a big issue just slightly inconvenient.

Wonderful
Very clean, interesting interior design, freshly renovated, it has everything you need for a short stay, the staff was absolutely friendly, the location is easily reachable via public transport and is quiet during the night, despite the proximity of pubs and restaurants. No noises from neighbouring rooms or hallway
The room doesn't have a square centimeter too much space, it's great for short trips, for people enjoying space to do some stretching in the evening or move around the room, be aware that the room doesn't have space for that. The shower was a bit messy with water spraying on the floor of the bathroom but nothing a bathroom carpet can't fix. Still overall very recommendable.

Fenomenal restoration of an old Amsterdam building! Contemporary layout of the rooms with keeping in with history! Super comfortable, charming rooms and stuff!

All new and modern, everything was comfortable and the hotel is in a great location. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Not the hotel's fault, but there was a lot of noise outside all night and as it is an old building the windows didn't block this out very well. Also, my room was on the 4th floor and there is no elevator.

Disappointing
The bed was comfortable. The front desk staff were polite.
The room was approximately 10 meters square. It was occupied by a bed, small wall desk with chair, toilet, shower, small bedside table (next to the window), and a pole with hangers for clothes. In the toilet was a sink and lighted mirror. A shampoo, conditioner, and a tiny round bar of soap were next to the sink. The tiny bottles (travel size?) of shampoo and conditioner were both approximately 1/8 full, if that. Towels were on the toilet and sink because that's the only place where they would fit. There was a warning that the shower could leak onto the floor of the room, due to a construction fault, and that they were working to resolve this. The desk was mostly taken over by a coffee pot and kettle, which contained about 100 ml of water. There were 2 tea bags, both Earl Grey. There were no "complimentary coffee capsules," (with extras costing 3 Euro for 2 or 2 Euro for 1) as stated on the Welcome to City Hotel Rembrandt Square notice on the desk. While checking in, I heard another guest ask about coffee in the rooms, and the receptionist told her that coffee capsules cost 2 Euro each, without mention of complimentary capsules. Are they complimentary, or not? It's a small kindness to give a weary traveler coffee to make a cup or two. This newly renovated room had a comfortable bed, but with the "humorous?" door and shower signs reminding me of previous occupants and their antics, I was less inclined to feel as if the bed were clean, and not just comfortable.

Very clean and new! It also felt very safe. 24/7 reception was nice to have, along with a great location. Beds very comfy!
Only complaint would be the room size. They are quite small but it was still plenty for me being a solo traveler. However, if you’re visiting a city, you shouldn’t spend much time in the hotel anyway

Good
the location was good because it was easily walkable to most attractions, but not good for the bar scene
the fact that people partied until 5am and the noise was awful and the smell of smoke was really bad. Then at 6am the bar staff was closing and you could hear all the trash cans being moved out. Really really loud!!!
Rooms are also extremely small and the steep steps to get inside to the reception and then more steps to each floor.

Very Good
Really central location, easy to walk everywhere. Comfortable room, friendly staff, fun decor.
Nothing really, although if you’re on the 4th or 5th floors it’s a lot of stairs!

Location location location. They give you ear plugs to get rid of the city noise due to the amazing location! Adorable room and comfortable beds! Small room but you don’t spend much time in it anyways. Staff is super sweet!
25 stairs to get up to the lobby but a few stairs never killed anyone. Just be aware if you can’t do stairs.
