Breakfast was very good with a wide selection of foods and a relaxed atmosphere. Location of the hotel was great as we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Staff were friendly and very helpful. We were three weeks into a month's vacation and had our best night's sleep here. Older style hotel with a very old history - as an Admiral's house in the 1600s so lots of small winding staircases. Rooms were on the smaller side due to the style but were comfortable and had updated bathrooms. We enjoyed our stay very much.
Nothing to dislike really. A fridge in the room would be beneficial for a longer stay but that being said there is a bar downstairs in the hotel.

We moved rooms as we were in a room which had a steam vent outside the window and a brick wall. The room we moved to was great and had a view across the river. It was larger and I would definately book this type of room next time.

Location is very good, short walk from train station. Staff are excellent from the start
Wooden beams on the ceiling are very low in the bedroom. Also in the bathroom so very easy too bump your head.
