We liked the location, it was very convenient and also the free parking was really good, the staff were nice and very helpful. It was a good value for money.
The rooms are very small and cold, the heating didn’t work, there was mold on the curtains, we checked that out because we saw it in a review and yeah it was really there, though we told the lady at the reception and she had the curtain taken out

The staff was very helpful. We travelled by car, the hotel offered free parking in a private car park for free and you can exit or enter it whenever you want. The location is perfect. Tram line 17, by which you can go to the center passes so close to the hotel.
The heating was not satisfactory but the staff solved the problem by providing a portable heater. some rooms are really very small even There is no enough space to put your luggage on

You can use tram 17 to go to center, around 30 mins. Tram is only 1 min walk from hotel
Surrounded by shops!
The air conditioning was not to best and wind flows to the room thru windows (esp. on the cold days)
There was no hand soap on the room (only a mini tube of shampoo and body wash)

We stayed at Citys Hotel in the New-West district of Amsterdam and were very satisfied with our experience. The transport connection is very convenient, making it easy to get to the city center and other parts of Amsterdam. A big advantage was the free parking, which is quite rare in Amsterdam and was very convenient for us. There are many restaurants, cafes, and various shops nearby, so everything you might need is within a short walking distance. The breakfast was good, the bed linen and towels were clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful, creating a pleasant overall atmosphere.

Room was very clean, staff were very friendly. Tram stop was just round the corner from hotel.
Minor but I didn’t like the sink being in the bedroom instead of the bathroom. Might have been okay if it wasn’t so close to the bed. The floor got wet and it was just annoying!

Beds were comfortable.
The room hadn't been cleaned. The whole room and the bed sheets had a strong smell of smoke even though it's supposed to be no smoking. We then found an open packet of cigarettes and 3 empty beer bottles in one of the cupboards. There was also no hand soap in the bathroom. The room was cold due to the stone floor which wasn't pleasant and the bathroom was absolutely freezing.

We had a fantastic experience at Citiez Hotel Amsterdam.
After reading reviews mentioning that the basic double rooms were quite small and could feel a bit cramped, we decided to upgrade to a twin room before arrival. When we checked in, the gentleman at reception was incredibly kind, friendly, and chatty. To our surprise and delight, he upgraded us again to a spacious family room with an extra double bed. We were absolutely thrilled with the amount of space.
The beds were very comfortable, and we were even provided with a mini heater in the room, which was much appreciated. Although the journey into the city centre takes around half an hour, it is extremely convenient as the tram stop is right outside the hotel.
The parking arrangements were excellent as well. At checkout, we asked whether it would be possible to leave our car there for the day so we could head back into Amsterdam. Without any extra charge, they extended our parking ticket until 7 pm and even said we could return later if we needed it extended further. That level of flexibility and kindness really stood out to us.
This is a great hotel to stay in if you are driving. You can leave your car safely in a secure car park, avoid the stress of city traffic, and still be close enough to fully enjoy Amsterdam.
Overall, this was honestly one of the most pleasant hotel experiences I have ever had. We were so happy with everything, and if we return to Amsterdam, we would definitely stay here again.
