Wonderful
This is the second time I have stayed here and I will be back. This is my hotel of choice in Amsterdam. Comfort, location, staff all are amazing. Also a very cool little boutique hotel.
This time ny shower tub was not separate from sleeping arra. 1st time I stayed it was. I let them know that next time this is important to me and they added it to my file, great staff. I should mention I came on a whim and they had my room ready very early from the time I booked at airport it was ready when I arrived.

Gathering room was comfortable
Room was very small, dark and tub/shower were in the bedroom right next to the bed. Sinks were at the foot of the bed. Small dark toilet room just inside the door. Floor space so limited that my clamshell suitcase could only open directly in entry in front of small closet leaving no room to walk. Circuitous path to get to room, up stairs and through the kitchen and dining room to an elevator and then up more stairs to dark hallway. For over 400 euros per night we expected a nicer and more functional room!

The staff, the location and the ambiance was amazing.
It was a pleasure to stay here, but to be frank the breakfast was a bit poor considering it’s a 4* hotel in Europe.

The location was very nice. The breakfast was alright.
We were given a room in the basement with an outside sitting area. We didn’t come to Amsterdam to sit in a courtyard.
We traveled with friends and they had a beautiful room on the second floor. I believe we paid the same price. We wouldn’t stay there again.

The location was good, shower was nice.
The check in & check out process took too long, need a reception specific area not the bar. Was unable to change room temperature so room too warm. Bed lumpy & too soft. The noise was bad. Day they did recycling they woke us up at 6am and then trash last night was loud.

Location. In a nice quiet section on a lovely canal. Nice back garden area. Bar made very good drinks. Bed was comfortable.
Room not cleaned and had to ask at 4:25pm for our room to be cleaned. We were out of the room since 9:30am and in a luxury hotel like this a guest shouldn't have to call down to have the room cleaned. The shower/bath is literally at foot of bed with no privacy glass or anything. We worked around this with one of us leaving for 15-20 minutes, and so forth. Also sinks on same table as the only other hotel room desk/table. Very awkward room layout and we didn't care much for. I understand that some of the older canal hotels have a similar layout. Price is also a little outta whack. Charging 5 star price but it's maybe a 4 star hotel.

Good location
Ventilation system were broke and couldn’t sleep for 2 days because it was very hot in the room. They keep promising that they will fix but didn’t do anything for 2 days.

Beautiful historical hotel, great location, and classy interior. Staff was friendly and very helpful with luggage storage needs, etc.
I guess it may have said this somewhere on Booking, but no AC definitely made my stay a bit less enjoyable. My understanding is that many businesses in historic buildings face the same issue by law. The staff did offer me a fan, which helped and luckily it was nice enough outside to open a window.

Rude staff that is extremely disrespectful and dismissive. Our room was robbed and the staff didn’t care at all.

Rooms are too small. My windows look to wall. Windows dont open fully. Rooms is too small.
No drinking water in the room we had to fill from tap in the toilet. Big time shame
