Convenience to public transport
Walking distance to Van Gogh museum and Anne Frank house
Very tiny. Nowhere to leave your luggage so you can access your items. Luggage must be placed on the floor taking up space to move around the bed.
Double bed is against the wall so difficult for second person to get in and out of bed.
Shower and toilet share the same space.
Staircase very steep.

Incredibly noisy, impossible to sleep with street noise coming through unfiltered, with noise coming through the door unfiltered. We left in the middle of the night. That says it all

The location was superb, we had a beautiful view of the canal from our room, the room itself was big and cosy with good facilities

Location was great, not far away from main must-visit places.
The smell in the room was quite strong and unpleasant, kind of musty — possibly coming from the carpet or the curtains.
The shower was not very convenient: the glass partition was very narrow and didn’t prevent water from getting into the rest of the bathroom, so after every shower the floor was wet and we had to wipe it.
There was no proper wardrobe for clothes — just two hooks on the wall with a few hangers.
Another issue was that my friend and I had booked a room with two single beds, but in reality there was only one double bed. We showed our booking info to the manager, he said there’s no other options with single beds.
In general, the photos of the room on Booking did not quite match the actual conditions.

Great location and owners / staff were so friendly and helpful. We didn't need much from them but got the impression that if we had had lots of questions they would have been very happy to answer them. We had one of the smaller rooms but was an absolutely fine size for what we needed.

Great non chain hotel a few miles from central station. About a 30-45 walk into the centre. Really warm welcome from reception. Location was perfect for us as we went to the Melkweg concert venue which is 2 min walk away. Room 103 was great, it’s the one with the hanging / swinging chair. Would stay in that room again. We had early departure so didn’t stay for breakfast.
Noting much, but be warned stairs are steep if you have mobility issues. Some building work going on on the canal walls opposite, which didn’t bother us and will probably be done in a few weeks.
