The friendly staff made the stay 10 out of 10.
No Elevators and no AC, but that’s very common in Amsterdam. As an American, it is hard to comprehend a room without AC, but there was a fan that kept us ventilated.

We had an interesting stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and lovely.
The room however was disappointing. It was VERY small and had no drawers or cupboards (or anywhere really) to store clothes so we had to live out of our suitcases which wasn't great as there was no room to move around.
The shower and toilet were one wet room and the sink was in the bedroom. Not ideal but wasn't too bad although something to note if you book this room.
As we were there when the weather was at really hot, the fan in the room was on the floor but didn't have the affect of cooling us down. Therefore we had to rest it on the table, which was too small, so ultimately kept falling off.

Our room was lovely with 2 windows looking over the canal. The owners were very hospitable. The location was good off of the main drag, with public transportation very close. The value of our room was good.
The steps were very steep in his hotel which we knew.

I have been to Amsterdam several times but this hotel was head and shoulders above anywhere I have stopped, it’s very clean, the staff are super friendly, it’s a lovely walk into the centre, I also left my expensive headphones in the room and the mailed them back to me in the uk, forever grateful, the only place I would stop when visiting again I owe you a drink Nathalie ♥️

The hotel is really cute and the room was larger than expected, spacious, with a fireplace, sofa and a gorgeous view.
I had a large suitcase and there are no elevators, but the owner was super nice and helped me both going up and coming down the stairs.

Location is excellent. So close to the theatre district, lovely bars & restaurants. The transport network is so very close
The hotel is spotless & our beds were made each day. Fresh towels delivered. I couldn't fault this hotel.

The room was just right for us as a couple. Shower/bathroom facilities were great and the small double room was very well designed. Coffee pods on hand was a double bonus!

Breakfast was great with plenty to choose from.All staff we met very friendly and helpful.Nathalie especially who went out of her way to help us find our way around.

Lovely decore with a musical theme.
There is a lot of stairs so be prepared the manager did a great job helping us with our luggage she was amazing. We were a little disappointed with the rooms as we thought we were getting a view. Make sure if you want a view you select the correct room type. We got a room on level 1 and level 3 as 2 couples travelling together. The level 1 room was really dark but closer to ground floor level 3 room was light but had to cli.b steps to get there.

It was representative of the real Amsterdam. Classy, warm in the cozy way, respectful and full of fun and home.
Nothing. Remember homes in Amsterdam were narrow and steep. Land is at a premium. If you want to visit the real Amsterdam, visit here.
