Disappointing
The staff were wonderful.
We were moved to a room outside the principal location. Given that this was one of the most we ever paid for a one night stay, it provided minimal conveniences. The room was on the ground floor with our window facing the road and a very busy pub across the street providing party noise until past 3am. We had to ask for toiletries on our arrival. I felt ripped off given what we paid.

Incredibly helpful owner and staff couldn't have been nicer. Room was larger and comfortable for Europe. Good location near trams.
No elevator, typical steep Amsterdam stairs but front desk helped carry up and down stairs from one flight up room.

Very Good
Small, quaint hotel that has great modern decor and is very clean. Our room had an incredible view. Very nice and helpful proprietor. Comfortable beds. Spacious rooms.
No air conditioning but windows open and they have a room fan. Shower doesnt have a door and water sprays into the bathroom floor which can make it slippery.

The staff were very friendly and responsive. They carried our very heavy bags up and down the steep stairs! The hotel was cute, well-furnished and in a great location.
Just good to note that there isn't a lift at the property. The stairs were very steep which was fine but important to take into consideration when booking.

Unavoidable in Amsterdam were the steps. Wish we could have been on the first level. Other than that I would highly recommend it.

Small and very comfortable property
The room was a good size and provided a quiet respite after a busy day exploring the city.
The reception area was inviting and provided a great view of the canals.
The host was charming and very welcoming She was helpful with directions and recommendations throughout our stay. She made you feel like family.

Great location. Great owner. Super clean and tidy. Of course, like everywhere else, there are drawbacks BUT we came here to have fun and enjoy ourselves!!
EVERYTHING was great. Just be careful the stairs are VERY STEEP and if you are a little older it will be difficult for you to make it. It was not a problem for us because we had already read it in previous reviews and we knew what to expect. SUPER hotel position and SUPER Owner!!!

Wonderful
The room was adorable, with everything we needed. Ground floor, which could be a little noisy, but by bedtime all was quiet. And we walked so much, nothing would keep us awake! Location was amazing, right in the middle of everything. Natalie couldn't have been more accommodating, helping us with bags, directions, suggestions. I wish we couldn't stayed longer!

Great location near the museums and Leidsestraat area. Hotel is a 5 minute or less walk to the tram station. Room was a lower level room that was larger than normal. Nathalie, the manager, was very knowledgeable and gave us several useful suggestions.
Because the property is so old, no elevator or air conditioning. The stairs to our room were quite narrow and steep.

Really cute hotel in a good location, staff was very friendly and accommodating!
The room was small and no AC or elevator so carrying suitcases up/down the steps was really tricky but the owner helped us. We knew we were paying for the location/view more than the room size or ammentites.
