Such a charming boutique hotel in a great neighborhood(museum quarter)
and close to a major tram station!
The staff is super nice and friendly! Walking distance to Vondel park and all the designer stores!!! This is really a home away from home. The breakfast was good. The afternoon snacks and the free bar were nice added touches.
We really enjoyed our 5 night stay.

We opted for a small room which was perfect, we had tea and coffee in the room and complimentary dutch waffles which was lovely. Breakfast is always lovely, with overnight oats/chia and lovely bread, cheese, salmon, ham etc. We always enjoy a few wines and beer and the afternoon snacks are lovely. Staff are so nice too - its such a good location so we can just walk everywhere and then hop on a bus across the street to get to the airport
There was construction outside on the street so that was noisy, but not the hotel's fault. Also because we opted for a smaller room I think we were at the back of the hotel and the front rooms have a gorgeous view of the street, so missed that, but that was my choice to get the smaller room and save money

This is a wonderful gem of a small boutique hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful, always attentive to your needs or questions. The whole vibe is homey and welcoming, much like staying at a friend's house. Delicious breakfast in the morning, fresh baked sweets in the afternoon, cheese, fruits and crackers in the late afternoon, and open bar all day. The facility includes a cozy living room, open air patio, sunny cafe as well as a gym!
The property is located on a quiet street just a few blocks from the museums. We will be back!

Good
The staff at the front desk is always helpful and welcoming. The breakfast is reliably wonderful as are the snacks and beverages available all day. It’s wonderful to have access to bicycles at no extra cost. The lobby/living areas are beautifully decorated and welcoming.
The cleanliness of the bathroom and toiletries were disappointing. Upon arrival, it seemed only fresh towels had been replaced as there was visible urine and fecal matter on the toilet. The three toiletries containers provided in the shower all seemed to contain the same product (soap) rather than body wash, conditioner, and shampoo. We asked the front desk if the toiletries could be replaced while we were out for the day. They made the request to housekeeping, but on our return, it seemed the liquids were still not correct so we purchased our own at the store nearby.

Wonderful
The hotel is in a great location, so close to the big museums and just a short walk from some other central areas. The decor was really nice and the staff were very helpful. We loved the afternoon charcuterie nibbles and the 24/7 open bar that you could help yourself to. It was very relaxed and a nice place to stop and rest after being in the city all day. The breakfast was great too, a wide range of food to suit all appetites and freshly made. Super comfy bed and very clean room too!
The wifi wasn't the fastest, but we weren't bothered by this.

Excellent hotel, the best location in Amsterdam in my opinion (quiet, cozy street, but minutes away from the main museums, shops and restaurants). We came here to celebrate my mom's birthday and the staff was extremely kind - they left some balloons, a hand-written card and some bubbles in the room - thank you, team, we had an amazing time. This is the only place I want to stay at and recommend to friends when we come to Amsterdam - I highly recommend you try it for yourself.
Nothing to say.

Jan Luyken Amsterdam was wonderful: beds were very comfy, the staff was lovely, attentive & helpful. The breakfast was delicious & the extra amenities were so thoughtful: same day laundry service, happy hour bites & beverages, plus 2 cozy living rooms that we frequented to read and unwind.
Right in the middle of the Museum district in a quiet neighborhood. It felt like I almost lived there. The tram was a 6 min walk that gave you access the the rest of the city. Bonus: one block from luxury shopping street.
I would absolutely stay there again on my next trip to Amsterdam!
Nothing.
