Excellent hotel, the best location in Amsterdam in my opinion (quiet, cozy street, but minutes away from the main museums, shops and restaurants). We came here to celebrate my mom's birthday and the staff was extremely kind - they left some balloons, a hand-written card and some bubbles in the room - thank you, team, we had an amazing time. This is the only place I want to stay at and recommend to friends when we come to Amsterdam - I highly recommend you try it for yourself.

Jan Luyken Amsterdam was wonderful: beds were very comfy, the staff was lovely, attentive & helpful. The breakfast was delicious & the extra amenities were so thoughtful: same day laundry service, happy hour bites & beverages, plus 2 cozy living rooms that we frequented to read and unwind.
Right in the middle of the Museum district in a quiet neighborhood. It felt like I almost lived there. The tram was a 6 min walk that gave you access the the rest of the city. Bonus: one block from luxury shopping street.
I would absolutely stay there again on my next trip to Amsterdam!

Staff is very efficient and interesting/pleasant to talk to, great/cozy organization of space on the ground floor, great concept of snacks and drinks included in the price. Our number 1 choice also because the hotel is pets friendly!
Maybe an omelet could be added for breakfast.

It was 2 blocks from the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh museum, and one block from the high-end shopping street.
It’s an old building with narrow stairs, but typical for Europe.

The whole hotel is beautiful and designed to be fully enjoyed. Breakfast was lovely as well. Every detail of the accommodation is well thought through. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful. The foyer is gorgeous, and the rooms are beautiful. I will definitely come back.
The only small thing was that I had to ask for slippers, but once I did, they were provided immediately.

Spacious and comfortable rooms, amazing food, friendly staff, and a perfect location within walking distance of everything.
The bathroom could have been cleaner and carpet could be improved. The hallways were cluttered at times with cleaning equipment etc.

The staff is amazing ! Specially kimmy, but they are all so friendly helpful and nice. The location is also perfect and the vibes in the lobby are just beautiful
The ceiling in our toilet was leaking heavily and we had to switch rooms late at night ! The staff was very helpful and directed us to a new room instantly but the property needs some maintenance when it comes to their sanitary works

Great location!
I stayed here for four days and unfortunately had some issues with cleanliness. The room wasn’t cleaned on several days, and when I first checked-in the floor was dusty, there were dirty coffee cups left in the room, and the shower was clogged. That said, the manager and receptionist were very professional and helpful throughout. In the end, I received a refund, which I appreciated.

Location was fantastic. Loved the homey feel of the property. They encourage helping yourself to beverages and snacks throughout the day and enjoy the property like home.
The elevator is very slow. Our floor had a handful of stairs to get up to our room so hauling luggage up was inconvenient

Loved the breakfast, afternoon snacks, townhouse experience vibe, bikes to rent - it was all great! The staff was friendly and attentive; the location superseded my expectation as well!
Our room thermastat was broken and couldn't be fixed.
