Fantastic location; quiet area, very close to public transport. Breakfast was always wonderful. Early evening snacks were a welcome bonus.
Snug room needed a deep clean, especially the bathroom grout & shower curtain. Noise from stairs & nearby rooms was excessive. Id recommend ear plugs & white noise.

The hotel was in a fantastic location with great amenities I loved that you could grab a complimentary drink or snack from the lobby anytime of the day! Also, having access to bikes was a real plus.
No massive complaints The breakfast could have been better, with some warm/cooked food.

I know Amsterdam well and this is a good location to access areas I like, e.g. De Pijp. As a solo traveller I find the slow service in restaurants frustrating and I often eat in the room, so having a fridge in the room was a real convenience. The free beer and pastries etc. is also a nice touch, although I didn't use it much.
I would have preferred a walk-in shower rather than it being over the bath. Also the TV did not access the BBC channels.

The location, friendliest staff, cozy rooms and the most comfortable bed weve ever slept in! Add to that a good quality breakfast and a free drink + snack menu 24/7. I honestly hope that more hotels will follow this example and, of course, to be back soon

Room was a good size. Nice comfortable bed. A friendly placemore like a home away from home than a typical chain hotel.
Bathroom was a little small but everything worked and the shower was good.

The Jan Luyken hotel is a gem in Amsterdam. The location, the staff, all of the amenities, and especially the warmth had us feeling like we were at home. Breakfast and the drink selection were such a delicious bonus. The room was vibrant and with a great view. The location was stellar, and a convenient walk to the museums, shopping, and lots of good food. A huge credit to the staff for their friendly nature and making our stay as easy as possible.
