The shuttle to and from Schiphol was convenient.
The hotel is under major construction which began early in the morning. The hotel is an eye sore. Front desk and lobby was dark and dreary. It was confusing to have a separate but connected hotel reception for the Bastion right there as well. The Bastion reception was brighter and had a restaurant. Our room had Bastion soap and shampoo, etc. The room was dark and dreary too. The whole thing was strange.

Price
It was difficult to see the shuttle, it had a large Bastien hotel sign, and a small best western sign. We also had an 8 AM flight and their shuttle starts at 6 AM, so we had to order a cab to the airport for €30 the reason we chose the hotel was for the shuttle service.

The location is excellent and the airport (and train!) shuttle is a great service. The staff were friendly, professional, and accommodating. Our room was clean, generally very comfortable and surprisingly spacious. Overall an excellent stay, I would book again, and I would recommend the property!
My only actual complaint was the beds. The sheets and comforters were too small for the mattress and the mattress had rough fabric that I could feel through the sheet. (A mattress cover would fix that part).

Location, very nice room, fast internet, free airport shuttle, plenty of parking and electric car charging.
Impossible to contact on a weekend. The phone number on Booking is for corporate and they're closed on the weekend, so emails and phone calls went unanswered.

With one exception, meals were well prepared. Promised mixed vegetables, I received a very generous serving of carrots.
I count on Best Western being satisfactory anywhere. I don't expect luxury and I didn't get it. Service was spotty. My room had housekeeping once in three days. No one was available to help with luggage. The view from my room was a destruction crane tearing down the building next door.. The goal appeared to be an integration of hotels.
This hotel is also in the middle of nowhere, miles from the airport. (70 euro taxi ride) Shuttle looks like an orange tour bus. I wish Booking.com had known to point that out! No retail in the area except for the Golden Arches which didn't seem to have a restaurant to go with them.
Really there is a huge area of vacant land and other hotels already in place. A future international sports arena?

Good location. Helpful staff, comfortable room.
Renovation inside and out. The room seemed to be updated. The hallways were a little rundown. Construction outside the main entrance could’ve used a little more surface space in the desk/writing area in the room, but overall getting to and from the room was the negative. the actual room itself the staff, and even the amenities in the reception were fine.

Ronald at the reception desk greeted me warmly and advised that the room was not ready. Others were waiting for a room as well (my arrival near 11 a.m.) Ronald gave each of us who were waiting the wifi information. I wish all hotel had a person like Ronald greeting me! I had to leave early the next morning utilizing the hotel shuttle bus which was the original reason I booked the hotel.
Construction next door which I was not aware of when booking.

I clearly booked a room with 2 beds, got “Their” King Room, with 2 twins beside each other.
Front staff didn’t want to help saying they were fully booked. She didn’t even listen to me being easy going asking just that House Keeping can separate the beds and provide the necessary sheets, covers,…etc. I have clearly repeated what I want with no response starting using “I understood what you said”! Clearly she didn’t.
Her colleague helped with everything later..
Only 2 tiny pillows in the room. Provided 2 more later.

Room was too warm. The guest has no control of the room temperature; management decides when THEY think air conditioning is needed. The window was locked shut and could not be opened.
