Set along the edge of the famous Herengracht canal, Banks Mansion is built in the Amsterdam School architectural style and original features. It offers elegant rooms with a unique all-inclusive concept to give guests a “home away from home” feeling. Flat-screen satellite TV come as standard in the air-conditioned rooms at Banks Mansion. They also include a free private mini-bar. The warm décor is complemented by dark wood furniture and stained glass windows. Each of the bathrooms includes a relaxing rain shower. It is also possible to select a choice of pillow from the pillow menu. An international live-cooking breakfast is served daily, including eggs, breads and pancakes. In The Living lounge guests can relax in the large armchairs and enjoy unlimited drinks and bites, tea/coffee and snacks throughout the day, including afternoon cheese platters and wine buffet. Wonderful
We really liked the location, the generous breakfast and the “living room” feel of the lobby. Coffee and other beverages were available 24/7. Small snacks were provided each day and a wine cart with cheeses in the late afternoon. It was a nice place to relax and meet other guests…or not.
We unknowingly booked their big first floor suite. It was very large and convenient to the lobby, but the furniture was a tad funky and it was quite dark. It looked out on a “back courtyard”. More like a cement alley. Not worth the money.

The welcome was very friendly. The room was comfortable and clean. It had a canal view. A mini bar stocked and free to use. In the afternoon there was a cheese trolley and drinks available. Each day was a different selection of treats. We were able to store our luggage on the last day and they called us a taxi for our departure.
