Great place to stay for a few days In Amsterdam. The hotel is in a nice neighbourhood and only a few minutes walk from tram and bus stops to get anywhere in the city. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Room was a little dated and bed could have been slightly more comfortable.

Staff was courteous and helpful, room was very large, comfortable and beautiful, location was perfect, not too close to the center to be noisy, but well located to reach all of Amsterdam. In a lovely neighborhood with cafes, restaurant and a supermarket in walking distance.
One minor thing: the cleaning staff would fold the duvets on the bed in such a way that I had to unfold them every time I wanted to go to sleep. Not a big issue but as I was working hard on this trip there were days I just wanted to get into bed and not have to deal with that. I suppose it showed that the sheets had been changed every day, which was nice.

very friendly staff who ensured our request for twin beds was done. lovely touch of chocolates in the room as we were celebrating a birthday. Staff very interested in helping with our itinerary
Cost of hiring bikes - we only wanted bikes for 4 hours to get to the park. much cheaper to get a Uber!

We have stayed here a number of times and are hoping to stay again. It is a very comfortable place in a quiet neighbourhood, yet close to the centre with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The staff go out of their way to make you feel at home, everybody is very welcoming and friendly. A real gem!

I enjoyed the hotel's charm. It’s a beautiful historic building with a lovely garden and tasteful decor. The staff was kind and helpful, and everything was clean and well-maintained. The breakfast was also very nice and a great start to the day.
The only small downside was the shower, which felt a bit outdated compared to the rest of the hotel. A modern rain shower would make the experience even better. Otherwise, everything was very pleasant.

In my opinion, this hotel was truly amazing, and we were very happy with our stay. It’s an older, historic hotel with its own soul and character – so if you are looking for something very modern, this might not be your place. But if you appreciate atmosphere and charm, it’s absolutely perfect.
The location is also very good – in a quiet area, but still within walking distance to the museum district, which made everything very convenient.
I personally loved it. The bar, called “Library,” is such a special and cozy place – really unique and beautiful. Breakfast was very good, definitely recommend.
The room was small, but very cozy – it felt like stepping into another time, not this decade, which made the whole experience even more special.
What impressed me the most was the service – from the very first emails until the moment we left, everything was just perfect. The communication before arrival was so warm and attentive. I asked for a double bed and mentioned that we were celebrating my husband’s 50th birthday, and everything was prepared so nicely with balloons and champagne. It felt very personal and thoughtful.
We were also able to check in earlier, which made everything even more comfortable. The staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and genuinely caring.
And definitely try the elevator – it’s a little experience on its own

Friendliness and helpfulness of staff. Location was excellent for walking to most destinations and short walks to convenient tram/bus rides to others. The common space off the lobby had a great atmosphere and guests could get a cup of coffee and other drinks 24/7.
Our room had only one bedside table and lamp. The bathtub/ shower was a little treacherous in terms of slipperiness

Attention to guests – it really stood out. There was already water and apples in the hall, a small touch but very nice. The entire staff was extremely helpful, attentive, and highly professional. Breakfast was abundant and delicious, and the coffee was excellent. The interior is beautiful and elegant, making you feel uplifted. And that retro elevator – such a charming and fun detail! On top of that, the fact that they have a theatre warmed our hearts, as we work in theatre ourselves. :)

The hotel was wonderful. The staff was really nice and tried to make our stay there even more pleasant. On the second day we had a treat left as a compliment from the hotel which made me even happier.
