Set in Amsterdam’s former public library in the heart the canal belt, lifestyle hotel Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht, by Hyatt offers elegant design rooms with free WiFi. Well positioned and had all the facilities we needed Comfortable with wonderful canal view and spacious room
Carpet needed a good vacuum! The hand basin to clean teeth and wash hands eg after using the toilet etc is right beside the bed inside the main room. A modern but unpleasant design that I dislike and experienced the same at a UK hotel a week ago. Consequentially for all the good points above I would look elsewhere another time.

Good location—walkable to shops and tram locations. Staff very kind and helpful. Breakfast and room service delicious with generous portions. Rooms cleaned daily along with new linens and restock of mini bar. Central courtyard/garden lovely.
Shower and sink in middle of room needs full screening so when sharing a room one person does not have to leave for other to shower and vice versa.

Not crazy about the room arrangement with the shower, toilet and sink all in separate locations - no "bathroom" per se. My only reason for saying I probably would not stay here again is that it was on the expensive side (compared to the other hotels we stayed at during our visit to Amsterdam).

We have been there for the weekend, The hotel was very comfy and a short walk from city centre. We will be back and definitely recommend this wonderful place.

Wonderful
Everything (all ingredients which compound what is called 'your stay') was really good: the room, the location, the staff, the facilities (the gym and the fitness center). the room with nice design, not too 'loud' (and not compromising the comfort), decent common areas, fitness center functioning around o'clock (which, typically, for hotels) lacks some hardcore machines, but is good enough for keeping yourself tuned up), the team was friendly and helpful enough. I had some minor issues with the room facilities (not something really bad or a result of poor management - something which might happen eventually) , which i reported to the reception and everything was fixed quite promptly. So, rather a plus to the team effectiveness, than i minus (like poor condition of the room). Unfortunately, i missed visiting their high-dining restaurant 'Renvy', so i can't judge on it. but their bar and other restaurant, more cosy, were good enough to enjoy them. Location is also quite handy - you are close to everything, but not on the most touristic streets. Overall, i would say, it was more than good (probably not 'the most fantastic experience ever', but something pretty much worth the money and fitting the expectations. thumbs up for Andaz!
there was nothing to complain. except, maybe, the service in a bar was a bit... too leisured and unhurried... which probably fits well the idea of a bar for guests' relaxed stay, but didn't fit my tight schedule. the rest (including the drinks and food in a bar) was quite lovely.
