Easy check in
Rooms adequate for what we needed

Usually I avoid hostels, but this one was very clean and the room was spacious enough to accommodate the whole group of 8 people. Personnel was very friendly and helpful.

Dirty, mouldy, had to ask three times for clean shower curtain as it was black with mould. Poor ventilation. Dirty floors, dirty socks from previous visitors still in room. Mouldy bathrooms.

My room was upgraded from a single to the Formula One Suite - absolutely massive with two double beds and two racing games with racing seats! I had a lot of fun! The bed I slept in was very comfortable and I really appreciated the fridge, microwave and kettle!
The location was perfect (5 mins walk from Sloterdijk station) and the staff were excellent. There was even free popcorn in the lobby!
I absolutely cannot complain as I was massively upgraded during my stay, but a few things to consider if you're thinking about booking the Formula 1 room, especially for more than one person:
I think it needed a few more openable windows - it was stuffy and most of the windows seemed to have been blocked... or maybe they were just really stiff? No air con, but a fan was provided in one of the bedrooms. There also wasn't really anywhere comfortable to sit other than the beds - just two hard wooden boxes or bar stools. There's a big TV, but nowhere to sit where you can actually see the screen as it's obscured by hanging lights right in front of it (though I couldn't work out how to turn it on anyway). The bathroom was private, but a few doors away down the hall. Also be aware that the dividers between the two bedrooms do not offer any privacy. Absolutely not an issue for a solo traveller, but something couples might want to consider. It also means there's nothing to block the sound of the fridge, which is pretty noisy!
I think the exit into the lobby needs to be made a bit more obvious too - I had people trying to get into my room thinking it was the way out, which was a bit disconcerting for a solo female!

There was a kitchen, a coffee maker, microwave and a water heater.
They didn't make our room. Just once after the first night but we spend 5 nights there.

It was very good value. It had a kitchen and a bathroom all well stocked. The bed was comfy
The artwork was a bit creepy but when you close your eyes you can't see it anymore so it's fine
