We had a larger room, and the location in Amsterdam was excellent. We could easily walk to everything we were interested in. The room was extremely quiet. All of the amenities in the room were top notch, but I'm not convinced they were worth the price.
We had a large room and it was actually located a few doors down the street from the hotel itself (where the lobby, restaurant, all other rooms were located). The entrance was private, but was below street level with windows looking out on the sidewalk. If I had known this ahead of time, I would have requested a room in the main hotel on a higher floor. All of the amenities in the room were top notch, but I'm not convinced they were worth the price. We were contacted about extra taxes after we booked (in addition to the taxes we were expecting) and this contributed to the disappointment in the price.

This is a fantastic property and a great location on a canal in Amsterdam. The staff go out of the way to make you comfortable and are very genuinely friendly. The property has a lot of character. The room was exceptional, and the bed was probably the most comfortable that I’ve ever slept in. I would not hesitate to recommend this place for your stay in central Amsterdam.

Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, fantastic and spacious room with all the amenities. We stayed for three nights in a canal view room - watching the canal boats go by from the comfort of our sitting area became our evening routine. Enjoyed morning breakfast to start the day and the Library bar for evening refreshments. Easy street car ride to hotel from Centraal Station. Once at the hotel we mostly walked everywhere but street cars are close by if so desire. Highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel and our room were beautiful. Location was great.
I wish breakfast was included. Also, and this may seem trivial, but I wish the cleaning staff would remove the air from the trash bag lining in the super tiny trash can. You can get a single tissue into the can as is.

Beautiful, spacious room with view overlooking the canal. We had a great view of one of the holiday light installations. Breakfast delicious, with buffet options & also able to order off the menu. Every encounter with staff was great, they were so helpful with any questions we had. Interesting artwork on view in the hotel. Based in this hotel, we walked all over Amsterdam. I would stay here again.

The Hotel Ambassade was stunning! The suite was spacious and beautiful with an amazing view. The staff was exceptional and the location was perfect for us, with tourist attractions just a short walk from the hotel. Thank you for an amazing stay—wish we could have stayed longer!
