I expect just two things from a cheap hostel, the ability to sleep and the ability cook in the kitchen. Sadly these two things were unnecessarily difficulty as this hostel. The room was riddled with mould, none visible but a very pungent smell sat in the muggy air, made worse that there were no outside windows. Just outside our room was a light on a sensor, so sensitive that moving my feet while lying in bed would turn it on, sending bright rays of light directly on our face. The fan, very essential in rooms like this would only work on the lowest setting or a persistent ticking would begin. And to top it off at 5am each morning the hall outside our room proved to be a meeting place for the workers, laughing and shouting until about 6:30 So it's safe to say I had a very broken sleep here. Which brings me to the second expectation, able to cook food. And yes I was able to cook, but only after washing each untensil before hand, either sticky with oil or growing mould, the cupboards were gross, the stove sticky. And the whole upstairs was overrun with ants.

No hot water

DO NOT STAY HERE - our room was dirty, dark and completely flooded so that there was a centimetre of water covering the entire room. Our belongings got absolutely soaked and ruined and the owner and hotel staff did nothing to apologise or compensate us

There were bugs in our bed and they were crawling in our stuff and in the pillow. The staff was not friendly. The rooms got very hot and even the fan didn't cool us down.

Not clean

It was not clean. Bathroom was not clean.

The bed yo unconfortable.

The kitchen is not clean or equipped to be used by guests. The appliances need to be replaced and things like the fridge should be left on when guests things are in there (like yogurt and milk).

The rooms are too hot. Everything is unsterilized the beds are not mede well. The AC cost more than the night

was a litle too hot in the room , but was tolerable.

Dirty kitchen. I get it, travellers can be very dirty but if you dont put any effort into cleaning common areas, it will get disgusting. It already is. The hostel offers free water, but there was none for the whole afternoon. The owner was always saying that they are coming with new one...it took 2 more hours. Poor planning, all the hostels we have visited before had always so many barrels ready, here they had maximum of 2 or like this case, 0. Last morning there was no gas. Would be cool to have spare one ready, but of course there was none, so no proper breakfast. The hostel did not have running water for 2 days. Okay, that can happen, but so far all hostels that faced such issues had huge barrel filled with water in the bathroom for such situations. This hostel does not have that. At least we got a bucket of water after complaining, so we could at least flush the toilet. How nice!
