I have stayed at the Wheatbaker over a number of years and the location for Art X Lagos and my various meetings is excellent. Breakfast is always good.
Not informed of renovations and disruption. No gym, no pool and no spa. Had to wait 5 hours for my room to be ready and was constantly woken early due to building renovation works. Not enjoyable and no compensation or reduction in rate to reflect the inconvenience. Lighting in the room was poor with several bulbs not working.

The rooms were spacious and well designed - with the added touch of a yoga mat in each room. The hospitality was great, from the kind staff, to excellent room service a daily treats left in the room.
The spa and gym were unfortunately under renovation.

I did not get the opportunity to stay at the hotel, as the facilities advertised were not available due to upgrade works being carried out.
The construction noise resulted in the facilities being closed to guests, and this information was not communicated at the time of booking, despite the advertised rate remaining unchanged. In my opinion, the staff did not manage the situation well and showed a lack of compassion and understanding regarding my predicament, as I had to find alternative accommodation on short notice.

Good bed and room size.
Spa and gym were closed, and refurbishment meant extra noise. Staff are lovely but mealtimes were very slow.

Everything. Everyone was so nice and attentive and seemed genuinely interested in making sure I had the best experience possible.
This will be my spot every time I visit Lagos.
The spa was closed for reconstruction. That’s not the property’s fault. Just bad timing. I’ll be back though.
