The hotel's management, particularly Uche, truly excelled with their remarkable leadership. The staff, including Andrew at the front desk, provided extraordinary service that surpassed all expectations. The restaurant team shone brightly in setting up my birthday party and delivering outstanding food and beverages, truly deserving a perfect 10 out of 10. While the outdoor pool area has potential for renovation to reach its full glory, overall, I applaud the hotel's dedication to excellence and award it a well-deserved 10 out of 10, with heartfelt appreciation to the entire team.

I love to swim in the afternoon and the pool is open for me to go. The restaurant & room service was great. My room was very good with the ocean view. Everything was so clean. I love how hospitable the staff was & accommodating to my needs. This place is an affordable jewel in my opinion to get lots of rest and relaxation. Now I have to mention that there is a casino area & it's non-smoking with all the drinks, cashew & peanuts you can eat.
If you need a disability room for easy shower excess there is not one .

The staff was VERY nice and accommodating. The facility/the grounds itself was very lovely. The morning breakfast was nice too.
If I had to describe what I would change, I would have liked a stand free shower. Stepping in and out of a tall tub to show was kind of difficult due to my height. Other than that, I had no complaints.

Location
The only redeeming quality of this hotel is its location. Beyond that, the property is filthy, mold-infested, and has an overwhelming, smelly odor. We stayed for two nights while attending a wedding at the nearby Balmoral Hall, and issues began the moment we arrived; the lobby itself smelled foul.
When we got to our room, we found the bedsheets stained with blood and something brown. Even after requesting they change the sheets, the replacement sheets were STILL dirty. The bathroom was in equally poor condition: both the bathtub and sink drained extremely slowly, and we had to call the front desk multiple times before anything was done. When maintenance finally arrived, they used a bathroom plunger on the bathtub to remove large amounts of hair and debris which is unacceptable and unhygienic.
The in-room kettle was also completely unusable and had sand and black mold inside it, and the tap water consistently ran brown. To make matters worse, service was generally awful. We repeatedly had to call for basic requests, and on several occasions, no one even answered the phone.
I would not recommend this hotel under any circumstances and will never stay here again. Management could and should do far better, but it’s clear they simply don’t care.

NOT A 5 STAR hotel AT ALL!

Not a 5 star hotel. FAR FROM IT. This establishment is not as advertised. Booking.com shouldn’t be advertising it as one.
Not luxurious, old old with damp worn carpets in the hallway that make your chest hurt and give you breathing issues if you’re sensitive like me. I requested a room change 3 times for the same issue and told them I have asthmatic history (kept being told call back later, or we’ll call you when another room is ready) also requested online for no reply. Didnt change the thin worn bath towels till I demanded, one house keeping guy said they were out of stock. Single ply toilet paper. Room was dusty. Bath tub and toilet were far from clean. I Dettol -d the place down. Reception desk is so casual and flippant almost Rude. Booking.com did nothing to assist when hotel didn’t respond for changing booking dates. Booking.com needs to be more responsible with their advertising and rating.
Hotel up to now did not reply the date change or room change request. They were happy to reply to a pre-arrival request about flowers on arrival for my sister (birthday) I was willing to pay but they reply said they
would be complimentary. There was no flowers on arrival. we had to offload our own suitcases from the car on arrival two women at 12 midnight. Eventually a guard relunctantly came forward to help us roll the loaded bell hop thing forward. Pool is green. For location and number of bookings here the owners owe it to guests to at least upgrade the hallways and bathrooms.

Location is great for exploring Victoria Island and everyone here knows the Federal Palace as a landmark of sorts, so it's easy to get back there if you get lost. Everyone knows it and respects it. The staff were all lovely, without exception.
It's tired. It needs some love. There is construction going on, but it's all the public spaces, when I think the rooms could use some TLC. Wifi drops in and out, but that's fairly standard. It's not the end of the world, but don't schedule Zoom meetings, like I did, while you're here. The wifi can't cope at all.

Breaa a fast was excellent. Staff was exceptional but suite was small. Huge bed in medium size room left little space for walking and in particular for luggage. Bathroom needed updating. Half shower door resulted in water spilling on floor creating a mess
Shower needed a full door not half door to prevent water that continuously spilled onto floor. Overall room too small. Hotel need upgrading and painting
