Nice restaurant friendly staff and nice pool area
Our room had an odor to it and when I talk to staff she said it was a problem in our room and the one next to it because of the wood beams in the room

The Room was very basic and outdated.
Instead of a double bed, I got to single beds.
There was not plug for the basin which made it difficult to shave as the water from the tap was a type of spray. (to save water I guess)
The first night my TV did not work.

Hotel very clean, with a pleasant « african lodge »style. Management very efficient with my requests in Booking. And all staff very friendly and customer-minded. Only good vibes during my stay.

I had a truly wonderful experience at Roof of Africa; from the friendly, helpful staff; to the beautiful grounds; to the well equipped facilities; and comfortable room. Added to this it was truly value for money. I would love to stay again!

BAD service on both nights from restaurant, waited for food forever, starter never arrived, had guests over.

A beautiful and spacious room. Good amenities. Large comfortable bed.
The aircon worked at snail's speed. There were a couple of year-end functions and parties in the restaurant and the pool area, and there was lots of noise. We didn't want to use the restaurant with everyone, so we stayed in the room. After handing in the keys and getting in the car the next morning, the check-out lady came running after us, asking about the dinner food bill. When we explained that we didn't eat, she questioned us about drinks (which we also didn't order). It was pretty clear she didn't believe us - it made us feel like thieves trying to slip away.

The room was spacious and clean, and the pool area was a lovely place for breakfast or an afternoon drink. The breakfast buffet was good.
The pool was a bit green and not enticing. The bar music was not to my taste, but there were other quieter places to sit.
