We have received the most amazing hospitality at this accomodation! Antonio and the staff were extremely kind. The grounds and rooms are beautiful, with shaded patios and calm surroundings. The neighbourhood is great as well. 10/10.

I stayed at Maison Ambre between 13 and 24 January 2025. The current owner, Antonio, took ownership of the property in December 2024 and it appears that his service offering is at least as good as the previous owner (i.e. the rating of above 9 continues to be deserved). I was in Windhoek for a work trip and had to travel up country for 2 nights and Antonio was happy to look after my bag for me and prepare the "extra" room for me on my return. I wanted that room as it was more suited for a work traveler than the other rooms (which are aimed at tourists).
The breakfasts were tasty, nutritious and generous and served with a smile. The coffee was good and got better when I indicated my preference. The guest house is in a quiet neighborhood - known as Luxury Hill, which is quite a fitting name and pleasant to walk around for exercise. I felt safe walking to the closest restaurants, which are about 1km away.
It is a guesthouse and has a guesthouse vibe, which I like. The pool area is good place to chill out, but take mozzie repellent ;)
The rooms are not that geared to doing work on a laptop - so if you are travelling for work and need a space to work on, let the own know in advance and I am sure he will make a plan.

Breakfast was fine. My husband found the bed too hard but Antonio and his wife were absolutely incredible and to get the car delivered and everything shown to us was amazing.
We didn’t get the WhatsApp message to say we would be met at the airport

Our host Mina made our stay truly exceptional. We feel incredibly lucky to have met such a wonderful person and couldn’t be more thrilled with our experience. She prepared a delightful breakfast for us, which we enjoyed in the beautiful garden.
