Uhland is a welcoming, family-run hotel featuring a lush native garden with pets and an outdoor pool. It is located in Windhoek, a pleasant 15-minute stroll from the city center. Free fiber internet is available. Decorated in warm and bright colors, rooms at Hotel Pension Uhland are equipped with a TV set, private bathrooms and a work desk. Uhlands strength is its staff & compactness
I had stayed the week before & took a tactical approach to a meal pizza this time no meat needing frying. It worked too, all was well. Oddly, the room door lock was peculiar the lock for my previous stay needed attention. Different issue this time, no attention needed, but it needed a certain technique.

I liked that the hotel is compact short walk to the rooms from reception, both a short walk for dining & short to the parking. The staff are a credit very happy & very friendly especially after Id seen how some of the guests treated them.
I didnt like that my door lock had a fault, however, maintenance dealt with that effectively. Oddly second stay also a comment about door locks. My first of three visits to Hotel Uhland left me with an upset stomach. Thats very rare for me & my comment is an observation, not an accusation.

Exceptional
We came as Guests and left as Friends! We needed to receive and print documents and with one phone call, Charmaine (at Front Desk) went above and beyond to have everything ready and delivered. Breakfast was fresh every morning and great care taken to our comfort while enjoying afternoon drinks in the shade of the beautiful big trees. Thank you for making the start of our Family Vacation so special. Definitely on my 'accommodation list' for the next visit.

The manager was exceptionally helpful at trouble shooting a problem with our transfer. Her honesty and integrity are our key takeaway from the property. We had only just arrived for the first time in Namibia and her actions will not be forgotten. Walking distance to Joes beerhouse for a taste of local cuisine. A supermarket was close too.

Wi-Fi was ok.
There was no soap in the bathroom. The towel too was not good. The curtains seem smaller than the windows so light was going through. Generally, I think there was no value for money

Excellent breakfast and very friendly staff.
Although clean and neat, our room was on the old side. So if you use to a flat screen smart TV and a King Size bed etc, you are not going to find it here.

Within walking distance from city shopping malls. Spacious rooms.
Make sure you get a room with the longer beds if youre taller than 1m85. Rooms could do with some TLC (better light blocking curtains, fixed night bedside lamps, )

Excellent location, walking distance to almost everywhere, from Joe's Beer house to artscraft centre and Goodfellas restaurant, National museum, etc. The staff was so friendly, helping out a lot and giving us advises. The lodge is clean, with simple but decent breakfast. Rooms had good size, and they were able to fulfill our special request. The staff was very friendly to help us deal with all considering we hade a 1 year old girl.
It is not an issue with the property or that, it is just a wish since it was cold, we wish that the sitting area outside the rooms had an umbrella or shade to protect us from the fog and cold, since we couldn't stay inside to avoid making noise to the our babygirl. We also think that the breakfast could have more option.
