My friends and I stayed at Skeleton Beach Backpackers in June during our trip to Namibia, and we couldn't have picked a better place.
The facilities are amazing — clean, spacious, and perfect for travelers. From the cozy rooms (the beds were incredibly comfortable) and well-equipped kitchen to the chill common areas and outdoor spaces, everything was designed to make you feel right at home. Each morning the breakfast was incredible as well!
The location is perfect — right by the beach and just a short walk to everything in Swakopmund. Whether you’re into adventure, good food, or just relaxing by the ocean, you’re in the ideal spot.
And the real star of it all is Charly and the entire staff. She went above and beyond for us — helping book tours, giving us great local advice, and even organizing our skydiving experience, which was a highlight of our whole trip. Her energy, generosity, and care made this stay unforgettable.
Charly, thank you for everything — we felt so welcome and supported by your hospitality.
If you’re headed to Swakopmund, don’t stay anywhere else. This is the place.

I like the common area that they have and I like that they have also breakfast and the options that they had as well. The staff were OK.
The room was with a terrible location unfortunately there was no door for the bathroom. I don’t think it’s a proper thing and unfortunately, there is no good ventilation and there is no good Wi-Fi in the rooms. If you are a remote worker, you have always to carry on your laptop and go to the breakfast and reception area. I didn’t like one thing about volunteers that one of the volunteers she asked me in the middle of the meeting that I should like respect the silent time as it was 10 PM and she tried to cut me while doing a meeting with one of my clients. I had to mute my mic and I told her if you want me to respect your rules you have as well to provide a good Wi-Fi, although it was not mentioned to me that after 10 PM is a quiet time and we haven’t seen this part of the policy. I think volunteers are totally detached from the staff and you can feel the energy. We also ask them for an early breakfast as we had to leave early and unfortunately, they were not also cooperative and they didn’t like that we ask for sandwiches we have canceled going early plan by coincidence but otherwise I think they wouldn’t do it for us.

The staff and managers (Charly and Ben) were exceptional. Paying great attention to guestz needs and always available to help. If you have no fun activities in mind or confused on which one to take each day of your stay ...., don't worry at all because Charly and Ben have got all you need each day and time, and they get you well prepared for each one.
The initial room I booked. But as soon as Charly and Ben realised I wasn't okay in the room, they moved me to the guest house which was so beautiful.

The hostel itself its good. I get the impression its a bit forgotten by management. One example is there we no spoons to be found anywhere. Big thumps up for Diego at reception that was very professional and warming. Overall good experience.
