I would like to commend the reception team for their warm and professional approach. The Duty Manager on duty was extremely helpful, attentive, and delivered excellent service.
However, I was disappointed with the experience I had with the reservation team. When I called for assistance, they were quite rigid, unable to accommodate my request, and the interaction came across as unfriendly. I had to make a second call and speak directly with the Duty Manager, who was able to handle my request efficiently and professionally.
I am unsure what the issue was with the reservation team, but I hope management, including the General Manager, can look into this matter to ensure a more service-oriented and customer-friendly approach moving forward.
Special thanks to Yee Yan and Jeffery (Duty Manager) for their outstanding service and professionalism.

The upgraded room, the cleanliness, the overall facility and ground, enjoyed the live band performance, the hospitality of the staff that checked us in at reception, and a big spread during breakfast
The breakfast - sambal nasi lemak way too sweet even for me who enjoyed a slightly sweet sambal. At the Bubur Manis section - The bubur pulut hitam served was tasteless- no hint of sugar, coconut milk or salt at all..went and raised my complaint to the staff but not sure if any actions were taken. Perhaps kitchen staff need to taste the food before serving them. Also it took forever to get my extra bed, specifically 3 calls to the housekeeping, reception and housekeeping again- to finally obtained my extra bed, which was already around 9 pm.

There was construction ongoing as part of an overall upgrade. Upgrade is needed but at times the noise detracted from the luxury resort vibes

The kids activities, pool and beach were fantastic. Food was good and service friendly.
We went over Christmas and the resort was extremely busy. Getting breakfast items was like the hunger games and the staff couldn’t keep up. Some of the coffee machines weren’t working. Not a huge deal but given it’s the Shangri la and the price, the expectations were higher than the reality.

The gym, the lounge area, the bfst buffet!
The pool is quite run down. The flooring is giving way. The lobby was closed due to renovation and we booked and paid before the renovation was informed. Being Christmas we thought it would be really welcoming but the place was closed for Reno. The rooms and carpets are all run down and old.

Parking was available, but a bit far for hotel guests due to a private function.
The big pool was awesome and I was impressed with the alertness of life-savers and the numbers on duty at a time.
The water theme park needs to be upgraded and more challenging for adults.
Breakfast are awesome menus, both for locals appetite and Koreans.
Parking near to the entrance should be a priority for inhouse guests.
TV Channels needs improvements.
The live band stopped too early...at the beach and perhaps they can start a bit late around 7 pm and finishes around 11pm.

A view on the beach with a beach area that is well utilized and an amazing pool by the beach. The staff are very very polite.

The daily activities are rich, especially the cooking class we joined are just amazing!!!
The receptionist NEVER answered the phone call! Only via wechat app chat , and the water of the beach is not as clear as that of Magellan Sutera. And the sands on the beach hurts the feet board, which can not be compared to that of ShangriLa Rasa Ria.

The staffs are very welcoming and always ready to assist with anything. We had an AC issue and called front desk, within 5 mins staff came to resolve the issue. The kids facility is great, my child enjoyed the water slides very much. Breakfast options are excellent.
