Fantastic location. Great facilities.

Wonderful
Unspoiled, serene and relaxing location with private beach and abundant nature both on land and underwater. Very spacious and nicely furnished accommodation. Friendly, attentive and helpful staff.
Tourist hoards on the public beach between 10:00 and 15:00 hrs, but the island’s popularity is easy to understand. But having the place to yourself at other times is bliss. Rooms / villas lack WiFi, resulting in too much screen time at the dinner table.

Very Good
The whole experience felt like a tropical escape. The beach was absolutely stunning, crystal clear water, soft sand, and calm waves perfect for swimming. The staff were warm, helpful, and always smiling, making the stay even more relaxing. The breakfast had a good mix of local and international options, and dining by the sea was just beautiful. The view from the room was breathtaking, especially during sunset.
The Wi-Fi connection was pretty weak inside the room or none but this was informed that there won't be any wifi so no issues.

Wonderful
Had a wonderful two days at Manukan island. The resort is in a beautiful spot, one is immersed in nature. The resort has a separate beach to the beach used by day visitors, there were plenty of shaded loungers. The snorkeling was exceptional, we brought our own equipment. The food at the restaurant was nice, prices around 30-60 myr per dish for lunch/dinner, breakfast was included and was delicious.
I would appreciate more information about the boat transfer before booking. The room description says that boat transfer is included but the boat is only at scheduled times, otherwise one has to pay quite a lot for a private transfer. The earliest boat to leave the island was 12 pm, the latest boat to get to the island was 3:30 pm. I did raise to the reception team that I wasn't sure we'd make the afternoon transfer to the resort as our flight was landing in KK in the afternoon and they kindly offered to wait for us for up to an hour (which eventually wasn't necessary)
Many reviews also bring up the litter issue. It isn't that bad, but there's quite a lot of trash on the edges of the beach. I didn't see any staff clear those areas. The sunset spot at the tip of the island was particularly bad and the bins there were overfilling.

Worth every cent! The boat to the island was easy to find and before you even step off the boat a member of the hotel staff greets you, takes your luggage and shows you to the check in. It’s a very smooth process. The beach is nicer and the day tripper’s phot shots add to the ambiance. The giant monitor lizard is cool too.

Wonderful
The view from the room, which was huge albeit decorated in bad taste. The peacefulness of the island in the evening.
There is no real snorkeling! The small size of the beach.
Beach & the whole island should be cleaner!
Unfortunately there was lots of rubbish.
The pathway to the Sunset View point should be repaired.

Wonderful
Friendly and helpful staff, private beach away from day trip visitors, homely villa's with terrace
Shower water pressure was really low
Wifi in rooms would have been nice, since phone signal is very weak in villas

Wonderful
Nice water, friendly staff, location is good, nearest to mainland.
The air con need maintenance. It started leaking since day 2. Some black powder drop from ceiling onto the surrounding of toilet bowl, looks like some insects egg . Swimming pool too dirty, look milky, I don think anyone dare to jump in. Food in the restaurant too expensive, mostly rm30 and above for a tiny portion.

Very Good
The villa was huge and overlooked the private beach.
The bathroom area had curtains, but you could see through them at night with the light on, so it didn't allow much privacy.

Good
Nice villas with a private beach and whole island is clean all around.
There were 2 unexpected blacked out that lasted around 10 mins each around 6-7pm. Understandable since the island operates on genset. However kind of ruin the luxury island experience a bit if I were honest.

Wonderful
Spacious room with a balcony overlooking the sea. Room smells Heavenly when we first arrived and ac already working and it felt great after the hot boat ride. The private beach was nice as the island could get crowded during the day. All the staff was nice and friendly. Food tasted authentic.
The room had no mirrors or storage or hooks to hang towels and clothes. The bathroom was odd as it was on a lower level and have to descend about 4 steps down and although there was a handrail, may pose a fall risk in the dark or anyone with mobility concern. Breakfast was ok but since it was set meals, not much variety if you stay for several days. Beach has a lot of trash and they make good effort to clean it daily but there was still a lot of trash left. The private beach was nice but no service to buy or order food and drinks or towel service. I had to walk all the way back to my room or to the restaurant to get drinks and snacks, which was a distance away. There was a staff at the beach but he was just sitting under the shade, did not come around to offer food or beverage service.

Very Poor
Beware that once you book free boat transfer turns into one boat per day with extortionary prices (306 or 612 MYR depending on the time) if your flight is any other time of the day. Moreover, the beach was extremely dirty, so you will end up swimming with plastic bottles and food packages. You will be better off staying at a nice place on the mainland and taking daytrips to the islands.

Fair
Breakfast is decent, staffs are friendly, Room is spacious.
However overall a dissatisfying experience. There is really LIMITED boat transfers in and out of the island, they don’t care if your arrival flight is afternoon or you have an early departure in the morning. Huge inconvenience(however you can board boat from other agencies). What’s worse, though the staffs are mostly friendly yet incompetent and unprofessional, and don’t expect high English proficiencies. Lastly though the beach view nice— it’s definitely rocky and tons of sea urchin with STINGS… Lots of them. Oh btw there is no functioning WiFi at all, neither in room nor in business center or restaurant. yay!

Very Good
Amazing view from hillside villas, and nice private beach. Breakfast is pretty good with different nice alternatives.
Lunch and Dinner times Restaurant was too limited. Beverages was too hot as the restaurant fridge was not working. We couldn’t drink cold soft drinks including beer. Wine option available if you buy a bottle only. Room was not cleaned, there was some hairs and dirty places. No drinking water at the room.
