The restaurant downstairs was great
The place is very old and hot and the owner is too cheap to let the a/c stay on unless you are in the room. This means that upon arrival, you will need to hump your luggage up several flights of stairs into a sweltering hot room. Wanna go out and eat while the place cools down? No chance because the aircon turns back off when you leave, and the old trick of just leaving a random card in there to keep it running doesn't work. Also the toilet leaks all over the place when you flush it. Cheap owners

Beautiful house in the center of old town. Truly amazing facility with unique atmosphere and antique decorations
Minor prep work required - you need to pay up front with cash as card is not accepted but otherwise we had an amazing stay!

The location was good and the room was comfortable. Enjoyed the stay.
The toilet had abit of sewage smell sometimes. The staff forgot to replace the toilet paper though.

Location was fantastic with lots of eateries nearby and places of attractions were within walking distance. The interior of room 5 and the rest of the hotel were beautiful and nicely decorated. Staff were courteous and welcoming. Free parking.
The air-conditioning took a while to cool the room, possibly due to high ceiling. It was effortful and a noisy affair to open and close the toilet door. Feedback was given about the latter on check in day but there was no rectification.

Wonderful
Excellent location and very helpful and friendly staff. It is a good way to experience traditional homes in Malaysia and I am glad that old houses like these are being protected.
The parking was also useful, but a mini-van or longer/larger car will need to drive carefully as the laneway at the rear is quite narrow.

Well located, near many bars, coffees and restaurants.
Very nice architecture for the hotel and room.
Check in was not available at the time indicated in the description, we arrived at 6pm, but had to wait for 8pm to leave our luggage.
Hotel requests cash only, but they didn't had change.

heritage property so loads of character yet great shower ensuite and enormous room with both fan and a/c. Discount arrangement next door for great value and quality Malay breakfast. Central heritage trail location so walked everywhere - under 10 minutes from train.
two very steep floors up with no lift; no waste bin; no fridge (ok Heritage- but a TV was provided)
