We are from Australia. We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in January 2026. When we first arrived we met Mr Ho at the reception desk, he was very pleasent and helpful. Later on during our stay we mainly dealt with 3 staff members. Sheila from Housekeeping took care of our room change etc., Prasad & Devi from the reception desk went out of their way to help us in many aspects. We were having trouble booking bus tickets to Melacca, Devi helped us out.
Contrary to what people say, there is a lot to do in Ipoh.
There are good eating places nearby. PS: Good hot shower.
If we visit Ipoh again, we will be staying in this hotel.

The girl at the front desk was simply incredible. She helped organize everything during my stay there, from train tickets, tours, events, and transportation. One of the best hotel experiences I've had.
The room was a little outdated, and it was a little noisy from either traffic or security alarms going off.

The location is convenient, within walking distance to many eateries and biscuits shops
The entrance is at the road junction, thus Grab cars find it difficult to pick up. Once, a Grab car went to the side road of the hotel and didn't pick us up as we were waiting at the entrance and Grab fine us for missing the ride.

Good location, short walk to sights. Nice comfortable room..friendly staff
Noisy guest party, leaving their rooms open. It wasn't until midnight that I complained to staff who quieten them. Staff should have acted early, noise was loud and just up from reception on level 1l, with people running around.

The room without a fridge? I think the management should consider having even a small mini fridge in every room. The room is absolutely hot and humid after we return each time.

Location. Mall (Ipoh Parade and eateries are within 10 mins walk. 18 min to Ipoh KTM station and piece of cake for seasoned backpackers). Bus stations nearby too.
Spacious room!
Lighting, Sound proofing, no refrigerator the room. Small things (cheap/easy) nowadays really but lack of them in the room gives the impression that they aren't really into their business.
