Wonderful
It’s a place that has history and the owners are proud to display it.
The staff is very polite, unobtrusive, friendly, welcoming.
Easy access to the Concubine lane and museums, lots of food options around
The street that seemed empty during the day suddenly became loud and noisy right when we went to sleep. Cars revving with engines, fireworks on the occasion of the Chinese new year. At 8am on Sunday the shop across the street started playing loud music. There’s nothing the hotel can do about it, we were just unlucky probably.

The room is on the second floor without a lift. Is not suitable for elderly. Aircon is noisy during the whole night. The sound proof is bad, I can hear the sound from the next room. The roof at the toilet is leaking when raining, the dirty water drops from the roof when sitting on the toilet bowl. I feel frustrated when I stay here.

Hotel was very quiet and cosy. Location is close to famous Nam Heong Kopitiam and Concubine Lane.

The location is ideal for anyone exploring Ipoh. There aren't many hotels in the Old Town and Ban Loong is in easy walking distance of all the pretty streets and alleyways. It's an old building which has been superbly renovated.
The rooms are functional and vary greatly in size. But for 1-2 nights that's fine.
Friendly staff, no.problem to deposit luggage etc.

A few things aren’t not functioning well. Tap leaking in bathroom. Powerpoint is higher than the kettle lead to use. a bit of care of love will help.

Location is convenient to walk to all the old town attractions. We got the front Deluxe room. Very nice with attached bath, however there are street noises but it’s ok as it’s not a busy road. The private car park is really an added value as getting a car park is difficult in Ipoh. The room is well lit.
The toiletries could be better. The toilet seat is too small for the bowl, should get a suitable size. There is no suitable lounge area for relaxing and to enjoy the heritage building.
