The rooms were fresh and clean and the amenities were nice.
Breakfast was the downside, it was an extremely long wait time

Lovely green inner garden and pool area. Modern room with comfortable bed. Good included breakfast. Easy place to stay.
It’s weird and unusual that they give you one small bottle of water the first night and then you have to pay for it $4 for each 8oz. I can’t believe the savings are worth the negative reactions.

Beautiful public spaces & friendly staff. Near Tulum Centro (walking distance from restaurants and street food) and main bike path to the beach (parque del jaguar and hotel zone).
Curfew for all public areas at 9pm and the jacuzzi turn off at 5pm ("because of the noise..."). This makes it not very convenient to use the facilities in the evening after a day at the beach. To be reasonable it should be open till 10pm and let the jacuzzi open until that time too.
Inconsistency in "free" breakfast with a day of buffet of bread, fruits and yogourt and the other day where you have to pay $60mxn for an extra slice of bread...

great vibes, i think one of the best around tulum town! The design and rooftop looked amazing!
right in front of a huge supermarket and near the main road where you can find loads of restaurants

The breakfast was AWFUL, when asked, the answer was: “it is included in the price” like that was a reason for serving uneatable food!

Wonderful
Exceptional environment, clean room, very pleasant staff. We stayed in 3 different hotels including a much higher priced (instagram famous) one on the beach but Prana was our favorite.

Although we did not stay on the beach, it was an easy 2-mile bicycle ride. Grocery store across the street, pharmacy, ATM and good restaurants down the block made this garden oasis with a beautiful pool in Tulum Centro a perfect choice.

Good
The rooftop is such a gem and they should highlight this more, I spent so much time up their and it was often very quiet so I had no issue getting a place to lie or going in one of the pools.
Breakfast was also great, the staff were friendly and there was a great selection so it wasn't repetitive
The location wasn't bad if, like me, you can't afford the beach. You can easily walk to the ruins (don't believe staff who tell you to get a taxi) but get there before 9am, there are also some nice eateries not too far away. Definitely good value for money as a place to stay in the area
The info on booking.com implied a balcony/patio with the room, not only did i not get that but there was little natural light with the window being frosted - i get it is for privacy reasons but it made it all feel quite claustrophobic and I didn't enjoy being in my room much
It was really unclear when the restaurant/ roof top bar was open in an evening so much so I never actually used either which was a shame.
The rooms aren't the most sound proof from noise within the hotel (the lifts in partiular) so i recommend ear plugs
It would have been nice to have more information on tours etc to be able to do in the area, I highly recommend Mexikan tours, and eco tour provider based in tulum (so they will do hotel pick up rather than having to do an early morning walk to a central point which I had to do for other providers)

Poor
The hotel is in a good location and the pool, roof terrace and lobby areas are as photographed.
We arrived to find our room overlooked a ventilation shaft, with no natural light and looked in to by a corridor. There was no door to the toilet - it's just there in the room, next to the fridge. Not very hygienic (or good for couples!!). The bed was also tiny. We asked if we could change rooms and were happy to pay for an upgrade. The receptionist we spoke to was incredibly rude and unhelpful, telling us that's "just how all our rooms are", "you have no options" and "it's your problem if you don't like the room." We left and booked in to Zenses hotel a 5 minute walk away - incredible value for money, lovely rooms and really nice staff. We've been trying to get a refund back from Prana Boutique for the nights we didn't stay and they have refused to reply or communicate for 5 weeks. Horrible service, and rooms not a 4* standard. Stay elsewhere!

The property matched the listing. The staff was very helpful. The ambiance is very nice. The rooms were very clean and nice, and the breakfast service was excellent. There is 24/7 reception and they closed the entrance at night which felt very secure.
We had a group and a few of the rooms had issues with hot water/plumbing. One of the showers didn't have hot water and the other one flooded but the hotel staff was very helpful to get these issues fixed/get guests moved.

Breakfast was delicious except it would be nice to have real toast

Such a gorgeous place! Loved the garden, so much green! Pools were also really nice, and beautiful sunsets from the rooftop. Also very clean and I loved my room, shower was amazing! The location is also very good, close to both the center and the beaches. Bike rentals close by. Close to restaurants and bars. Breakfast was also good, not the best but really don’t understand why so many ppl have given it such bad reviews.
Nothing really. A bit loud from the traffic early morning where my room was, but so worth it for this place.

The room was very large and clean, the bed was enormous and the bathroom was also very big. We liked the his and hers sinks and the shower was powerful and hot. The aircon was decent and it was nice to have the option of the hammock on the outdoor space.
The rooms aren't very well insulated against outside noise. The breakfast, the food was v good when it arrived (we have waffles, pancakes and scrambled eggs) however the service was very slow. Check in and check out was smooth.

Wonderful
Prana Boutique Hotel in Tulum offers a mixed experience with several notable strengths and a few areas needing improvement.
Room and Amenities: The rooms are spacious, featuring comfortable beds and effective air conditioning. The hotel's garden is exceptionally beautiful, arguably one of the finest in the Yucatán region. The main pool is satisfactory; however, the private pool adjacent to our room was infrequently cleaned, leading us to avoid using it. The bathroom is generously sized, and the in-room kitchen is well-equipped for a hotel setting.
Dining Experience: Breakfasts are delicious, with coffee that stands out as some of the best among Yucatán hotels. The staff at the reception is helpful and friendly. The hotel provides parking spaces in front and ensures assistance in finding a spot for your vehicle.
Areas for Improvement: Service during breakfast is notably slow. The room lacks adequate lighting, making it quite dark and challenging to locate personal items. Our private terrace was situated next to a multi-story building with rooms whose large windows overlooked the terrace, compromising privacy and making sunbathing in a tranquil setting difficult. Conversely, occupants of the adjacent building had their bedrooms exposed due to the sizable windows.
