Good
I liked the look of the hotels. My room was thoroughly cleaned everyday. I liked that they left a basket with brewed tea by my door every night and brewed coffee every morning. The hotel is also conveniently on the beach so it was great to have access to that.
The hotel is in the Jaguar park so you are forced to eat there or at other places in the park. I Left the park to go to a restaurant and paid 30 dollars to go ten minutes and 50 dollars coming from the restaurant. There is no Uber so the taxi drivers are going to totally rip you off. So I was kind of stuck in the jaguar park didn’t like that’s I feel they should team up with the other hotels and work on a shuttle for the people who want to go out and eat and come back for a small fee.

Wonderful
Food and service were wonderful.
Limited access to the beach. No handrails on stairs. Pool was small with no room for lounges or chairs around it.

The room was perfect, service was outstanding. The food selection was amazing and the hand crafted cocktails were so well done. Your staff were always there to assist and smiling. We were fortunate to be able to park right outside the hotel which helped since my husband had a leg injury. We couldn't have asked to better service as it was above and beyond for friendliness and being helpful.
Nothing!

I enjoyed that the hotel was in the notational park zone. The extra fee was unexpected since we didn’t read about the property before we arrived but I think it is definitely worth it. The ruins were so close by I could reach it with a short walk or jogging. The beaches were so clean. And the area was quite perfect for a relaxing vacation.

The hotel was adorable and hidden within the privacy of the jaguar park. It was on a pleasant stretch of beach, had good food, and the option to walk to two neighboring hotel restaurants if you just wanted to stay within the park and enjoy the beach.
Would have loved a tv in the room, but that is only a small thing. You will likely spend your time enjoying the facilités and the beach.

Good
The property was clean and intimate. The access to the beach was really nice! The food was also great, I would recommend the "mixed ceviche"! The pool was deep (I personally hate a shallow public pool) and refreshing. The room itself is super cute and luxe. We had a room with a loft and my husband enjoyed that!
The beds are EXTREMELY hard and uncomfortable. The mosquitos are everywhere and they are huge, so take bug spray or buy some when you get there and you'll be fine. The beach access is right as you walk off the property however, you have to walk down a bit to avoid the rocks. We went mid September and the beachfront was consumed by seaweed. The property is located in a national park and you DO have to pay a fee to enter the park and beware that not every establishment has the same exchange rate so be careful of getting swindled on prices. Overall, it's not that big of a deal but we were not made aware of this until the night before we flew out and the hotel sent us a message with this information.

Disappointing
Location
This hotel stands out in creating a vipe and its own PR but it did not fullfill the created expectations and was the worst experience in three weeks travelling Yucatan 1. The hotel runs a good and popular Thai restaurant that occupies the entire deck and creates a very bussy and hectic atmosphere - not at all what they promise 2. The small swimming pool is in the restaurant area, actually cut in half by the exit to the restaurant - no privacy whatsoever and nobody thus used it 3. We had a one night stayover and chose the room without a view - which turned out to be a very cramped room in what looked like the cellar (certainly not the 20m2 in the description) with a window facing the hallway( thus no window) and a humidifyer that was necessary to keep the room dry - making a terrible noise at least twice as hard as the airco. This has been remarked before by guests - they promised to fix it, but clearly have not done so. 4 the staff in the evening serving the restaurant was very efficient and professional- the staff serving breakfast was rude, did only serve us parts of the breakfast we orderd ( we had to aak for the rest) In conclusion this is a hotel that does not deserve the label boutique hotel and is far too expensive for the experience it offers

The location is hands down in one of the most stunning places we have ever stayed. The beach is right on your doorstep and it’s white sand and turquoise water - so picturesque and stunning! The staff were so friendly and helpful, making us feel so at home. The food was also a standout - we were blown away by everything we ate and we made use of the margarita happy hour (1pm-4pm) everyday - they tasted amazing. Sunrise is just outside your room and is gorgeous. It’s also located in the national park making it super convenient to get to the Mayan ruins.
That we had to leave.

this place is awesome! Jacqueline at the front desk is super friendly and helpful but even better is the location. It is inside the Tulum reserve, a controlled area, and you find yourself in a slice of paradise.

I had an absolutely perfect experience at Mezzanine: from its location right on a white sand beach, to the gorgeous room, a beautiful open air restaurant that serves tasty Thai and Mexican dishes to amazing staff. It’s an ideal place for a brief and luxurious getaway. Special shoutout to all the staff members from Orquidia and Jacqueline at the front desk to everyone at the restaurant, who made my stay pleasant.
Getting to downtown Tulum or other parts of the hotel zone can be time consuming and expensive(reliant on taxis)

The location is amazing, the master suite looks over the beautiful beach and the restaurant serves tasty meals. The staff is friendly and helpful.
The noise : loud (> 60 db with closed doors) generator in front of the mastersuite (20% discount and free breakfast as a compensation for the inconvenience), circular saw at various occasions during various days, music as from the morning until past 10 pm does not allow you to enjoy the rest and the ocean on the balcony of the master suite situated right above the restaurant, the restaurant is moreover open to parties. The sliding doors of the inside restaurant do not properly close anymore leading wind and rain to come inside and it was moreover leaking inside the restaurant.

Wonderful
The hotel is spectacular and has a perfect location - just on the beach. The restaurant offers delicious thai dishes and tasty breakfast as well. Pricy but worth it.
The service at the restaurant during the breakfast could be more attentive.

Wonderful
Mezzanine hotel is one of those places that just makes you feel serene from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. The rooms are so thoughtfully put together and feel so cosy, and there are plenty of sun beds outside to enjoy the gorgeous view as well. It’s on the main beach so you can get to the temples and other bars or hotels really easily, but due to the way they’ve done it you feel completely alone in the little paradise. The staff were all so lovely and there were so many nice touches throughout our stay that made it feel extra special, like waking up to coffee outside your door in the morning, or tea in the evening, or them putting your preferred scented diffuser on while you’re out. It also be remiss of my to not mention the restaurant which is of a very high quality. I didn’t expect to be enjoying such good Thai food in Mexico, but I had it every night, happily!
The only suggestion I have would be to consider not turning the air conditioner on every time you clean / enter an empty room, if you are truly committed to reducing the establishment’s impact on the environment. And the only thing which was slightly disturbing was the humming from the pool pump in our room, which wasn’t turned off until midnight each night, and the tank that comes to collect the water waste early each morning.

Very Poor
Location is cool if you are looking for a calm accommodation
Awful experience. In general, facility is not so great compared to price and what you can find around for the same amount of money. Price is 5 star, the rest is 3 star max. We booked a room “without sea view” but we were expecting still a window… they put us in a very humid and tiny room downstairs behind their office without any window.. definitely not what you expect from that price. The room seemed a converted laundry and had a 24/7 air converter to chance hair. Once we complained the concierge was not able to solve the issue changing room or giving us back money independently, he had to call “his boss” who was not there and not replying the phone very quickly so the wait was very long. We lost hours trying to solve the issue, and at the end they came up with the solution of making us pay +200€ more to change room. We refused, agreed for a refund and left the hotel but I have never received the refund. Not the best hotel choice!

Poor
The Thai restaurant and its staff are excellent.
They wanted to charge me the cost of the stay twice. Especially rude is the owner (or is she only leader of the administration), she told her employee "cobrale todo lo que puedes" while I was standing right in front of them. She was not aware that I am quite fluent in Spanish. (It translates to "charge him everything you can"). I soon got the impression that they only see the dollars in me that I should spend and their hospitality didn't feel sincere at all. The property is inside a national park which means that everytime you want to get from town to the hotel you must undergo a humiliating security check by gunned military personnel (open the boot of your car and alike) and to get to the hotel initially you must pay the park entrance fee!
