Good
The location was nice, the hotel has great esthetics and wonderful beach view.
We arrived during sargasum season so we weren't in the water at all, but that's wasn't La Zebra's fault. There were plenty of bugs in our room, the room was clean but there were roaches that got in from the outside. The hotel zone is not the cleanest of streets and it's summer time so that is to be expected.

It was clean and well kept. Close to restaurants but on quieter side of the beach. Rooms were large.
Rooms were expensive. Some workers provided excellent service, friendly, and helpful, while others did not.

Wonderful
Great room, wonderful beach stretch, 2 exquisite restaurants and superfriendly and professional staff. Perfect and attentive service.
Some garden rooms with plunge pool are adjacent and if people party at night in these private pools it gets noisy.

Very Good
Perfect amenities, amazing beach with super comfy sunbeds, spacious rooms, daily proper cleaning. Probably one of the best beach clubs around. Food is on the expensive side, but really good, best tacos you can try around, great coffee.
Service level was not like at 5* hotels, waiters keep forgetting things, one day we had to ask to turn on heating in a plunge pool 4 times in a day. Everything you ask: maybe they do, maybe not. It’s not bad, it’s just not 5* hotels service level at this point. Most of the hotels on area offer free yoga classes, here you have to pay 500MXN per person, which seems little unfair when you pay around 500 a night. They do not use any mosquito prevention in rooms except for eco spray, which is frankly not working, so make sure you take your repellent. It is still one of the best hotels in area, just not sure the price tag is fair anymore.

Good
I loved people who work there. Food in the restaurant is good.
Well, very far from luxury) Also they do sports game nights everyday, which is so not chic. Drunken people yell at TV and you can’t sleep or relax.

The property is great Both restaurants excellent Ambiance is so good
My room was close to the kitchen and was a constant “motor sound” which was very annoying .. I was not that long in the hotel but if have to be there all the time I would have asked to change room. The room was nice with jacuzzi. Ask them to heat it ( did not know this for 2 nights so I missed it - was not clear upfront). They should also give u 2 towels per person . Pool was on second floor - wish more at sea level to enjoy it . It is not a quite resort - music on from 10am so it is not like u can take a nap.

Wonderful
The Seaview balconies were lovely and the little tea every night was so sweet.
Seaweed in the ocean which isn’t really their fault but we couldn’t go in the water.

Wonderful
The room exceeded our expectations! It was really nice, the shower had double heads and it was very spacious! We came from a different hotel during our stay (we decided to visit another hotel since our original hotel was meh (Mezzanine). The bed was pretty comfortable! We had a room with a hot tub and it was nice to have a private "pool" when you don't always want to get in the ocean. The food was good and the area had a lot to offer. There was a food truck park across from the hotel, so we tried the pizza and it was pretty good! There are a ton of beach front sitting areas for the guests to use as well!
When we first received our room, the temp was very cold so we made the temp a couple degrees warmer and the floors immediately started sweating and there were almost puddles of water. We had to call the front desk for more towels and they came and mopped the floor also. We had to turn the temp back to it's original setting for the floors to stop sweating. & the mosquitos were huge, get bug spray.

Disappointing
In the hotel zone there are many places are overrated, and La Zebra is one of them.
I booked an ocean front suite but got one facing the bar instead. I mentioned twice that I specifically needed the view that was shown on Booking, but my request was ignored. The music is way too loud, also if you wake up early around 5 am or want to spend time the beach at night, security is constantly hovering around you, as if you’re six years old or trying to steal something from the shoreline, like you have zero privacy.

Exceptional
The property was well maintained and had a good layout. The restaurant/kitchen that fed us for all meals was amazing. The cocktail choices were also very well selected and balanced. Lots of fresh fruit which my family likes. Room was spacious and the staff was very accommodating.
The mosquito repellent that they had was an all natural variety that did not cut the mustard. Highly recommend bringing your own for dinner and activities that are not water related because you can’t use repellent at cenotes or swimming with sea life.

Location on the strip, restaurant and staff were all amazing.
In the villa we had, there was constant hot air from outside coming in from the glass slats which made it harder to keep room cold.

Well kept hotel with super friendly staff
Not the property’s fault, right now the area is having loads of sargassum, which makes going to the beach impossible. There are other things to explore but are far away. Seems like Tulum in general has seen better days as lots of shops, restaurants and activities have been shut down

Good vibes and a lot of character. Lots of comfortable spaces to sit by the beach, restaurant, rooftop, outside your room. Food was great, and prices reasonable. The staff were very helpful with arranging transportation for day trips and to the airport.
Wet bar pool is a lot smaller than it looks in pictures. But most of the hotels on the strip have small pools or no pool. The ocean is right there!

Lovely Juan Carlos and Jonathan
The rooms feel tired and not worth the £500+ per night. Most of the staff are rude, surly and grumpy.
