The property is right in the middle of all the beach clubs. It is also a beach front property. You can access the beach at any given time. There is a guard outside in the after hours. Staff makes you feel super safe!
They have no small bedroom coffee makers. Or available coffee for guest unless you order at their kitchen. That’s a big deal for me.
Also, i follow news in the morning, so no tv’s. Fyi; I vacationed during the seaweed season which is June. If you don’t like the noise from the surrounding clubs this is not your place.

We loved our beautiful ocean front room, the view and location were perfect. Also liked no TV's or phone in the room. The staff here was so friendly and welcoming. They were attentive and responsive to all our needs. The location of the hotel is perfect. It's a little on the quiet side but perfectly seated in the heart of all the action, there are many restaurants and beach clubs in walking distance. The beach is beautiful and flat in frontand the staff keeps it clean.
Truly, the experience was wonderful and we can't thank the staff enough. Every. Single. One. Of. Them!

The beach was private and beautiful. Even though we were in the middle of it all there was plenty of time to relax. The staff was incredibly helpful and really took care of us. We even had an incident in town and Monica and her staff too amazing care of us! Also, we had the upgraded room and it was really incredible with a private rooftop plunge pool and very comfy bed.
Slightly noisy from the place next door however it didn't impact getting a quiet night sleep.

Our stay at Azucar was absolutely perfect! The place is beautiful, dreamy!!!! The pool area on the beach, STUNNING!!! Everything is new, sparkling clean. The room was beautiful, tastefully decorated with quality furniture and bed linens. Powerfull AC, hot shower, large balcony with breathtaking views. The staff were all very personable and went above and beyond to provide excellent service. Xavier that took care of us on the beach is a gem and he made the best michelada i've ever had! I was travelling alone with my 6 year old daughter and we always felt safe and welcomed. She loved the pool and the direct access to the beach. Another thing to note is that the food is spectacular!!! The guacamole with chicharron, the fish tacos, the tuna tostada, the breakfasts, EVERYTHING! Quality ingredients prepared the right way. It was quiet at night and we slept like babies. There's also a stunning pool on the roof with views of the jungle and the sea. I loved everything about our stay and will absolutely return!

Everything. The infinity pool is amazing. The view in the morning is awesome. The staff are very helpful especially Armando.
The door key that also used for the elevator kept malfunction. And there's No one at the reception early morning so its a hassle if you go for a run or coffee and the key doesn't work. We were out 7:30 am and no one is there at the reception. But other than that, the place is perfect.

I’m absolutely thrilled that I discovered this hotel Azucar on the tulum coast, there’s really nothing else like it on the beachfront here. It’s quiet, peaceful, comfortable, and truly beautiful. Both types of rooms, the King Room and the Bungalow, are incredibly comfortable: fully equipped, with hammocks on the balconies and terraces, a new air-conditioning system, spotless interiors, and stunning views. They also have their own restaurant with excellent food and a gorgeous pool. In short, everything you need for a perfect retreat.
Before this I stayed at the overhyped La Zebra and didn’t enjoy it. I’m glad I found Azucar, I even extended my stay in Tulum for another two weeks.

This place is the sweet life! The rooftop jacuzzi was huge, heated and lighted. Sunset photos there were amazing overlooking the vast and beautiful untouched jungle. That was one of our magical moments on the trip. Also, the plunge infinity pool was ?!!

The location was the best part.
Absolutely amazing view from the room at morning dawn. Make sure you get a room with sea view.

Property has an excellent location, right in front of the beach, but you can get much better options at this price or slightly higher.
Bed had some bugs! Room was not fully cleaned and ceiling was extremely low, so room becomes uncomfortable. There were no bedside tables, nor place to charge the phone near the bed, which is very odd. Door lockers were broken and in general all the room looked very old. Although Booking says room has internet, that is not true, as it is extremely slow, WhatsApp sometimes not even working... Breakfast is a complete joke (coffee and banana...). Most importantly manager is very rude, screamed at me over the phone, after I asked her why the Booking app had an outstanding payment (which was an internal error on their side, as I had made the payment straight away).
