Easy and convenient.
It’s getting old and is showing in the rooms. Shows should start by 8:00 pm. There should be restaurants or areas without kids. Also liquor quality is poor. My father fell over in your bamboo chair and cut himself bad. Our room faced a restaurant wall,

It was for a family wedding and we all enjoyed the week. The entertainment in the evening was great. Breakfast buffets were good. The beaches were fabulous. The alla cart restaurants were good if you were able to get a reservation. The Brazilan restaurant the meat was to over cooked maybe related to the late time we went.
The kids' pool where our grandchildren 3 and 4 years played was not safe for their age. Older children would push them aside. There should be a lifeguard monitoring the lineup for kids going on the slide so they don't push the smaller kids aside.

The hotel is located inside the huge gated community of Playacar (like other resorts nearby) but you can take a walk around the place and even go to Playa del Carmen for a night out (only 3km or a 10usd taxi away). The besch is perfect and the adults only areas are very calm

Pool was nice.
The food was awful, the drinks were awful, some of the staff was not friendly, communication during the hurricane was awful, impossible to book at any of the restaurants and had to eat at the buffet for a whole week. Did I mention the food and drinks are awful?

Nice beach with lots of loungers. Food was good. Bar/ Cafe in "The Meeting Point" had very good coffee and drinks. Staff was very nice and accommodating.
No swim up bar in the pool at the adults only section. Very long lineups to get a drink - had one or two bartenders and one bar for everyone a the pool. Loungers on beach were plastic and not cushioned. Room although clean, were very dated.

The ala carte restaurants are unimpressive. Very limited menus , food quality mediocre. Might as well just go to buffet. Just to clarify, it’s not horrible, but it’s certainly nothing special.

The spa staff, particularly Isabel and Lidia, provided exceptional service. The nightly entertainment was enjoyable, and the hotel maintains high cleanliness standards. The beach offers stunning views, and the well-kept grounds enhance the overall beauty of the resort.
The hotel appears a bit outdated and could benefit from renovations. We opted for the adult side, which offered stunning views, but unfortunately, the rooms lacked modernity. Even on the family side, though larger, the rooms were also outdated, yet boasted better-functioning AC units. Despite reporting issues with our AC and mini-fridge, they were not addressed during our stay. The food quality rated a mediocre 5 out of 10, and reservations for the restaurants were required, but difficult to secure due to the timing of booking availability. Eventually, we managed to dine at three restaurants, with the Mexican cuisine standing out as the highlight. The French option was decent, while the Asian cuisine left much to be desired. Buffet options were available, with the omelette stations at breakfast being a standout feature. However, overall, the buffet offerings were satisfactory at best. The onsite coffee shop provided acceptable desserts and sandwiches.
I wasn't sure what to expect because of the reviews and I didn't choose this resort it was a group event and had read the reviews So I can say it was a little better than I expected per the reviews.

Buffet is ok. Pools are fine and beach is the Caribbean
Staff are rude and unhelpful. There are better hotel options within the neighborhood, and do not book any off site trips through the hotel. As they use a third party company that basically uses other party people to make the bookings. You will end up paying way more than what it is really worth

The staff was very friendly and they were always cleaning. The place was spotless. The dinner in the restaurant was also very tasty. The best part about this resort is the amazing beach with crystal clear waters.
We could not get a dinner reservation, paddle boarding was supposed to be included but it wasn't, and we could hear the bar music blaring until past 12am.

We loved the nice beach, palm trees, shallow water, nice garden, evening programs, small animals in the garden, friendly people and the expert staff, (Gaby, Maria in the spa and Andy at the bike tour.) We liked the stuff at the beach breakfast place.
We requested quite room, but our room was noisy, restaurant AC was loud, and no balcony. We requested a new room, which was arranged next day, it was perfect for us. Internet works only on the balcony and common areas, not in the room, but we know this.
