Very Good
We liked the friendly staff and the resort
The resort was under remodeling and construction due to Hilton taking over the next month. Some restaurants were closed and less activities for guests.

River
The service was horrible, waiters took forever to come see if anything was needed. The food wasn?t all that great. For being a resort you would think they would have more options or food variety. The beach was all dirty!

The staff was amazing. Our guide was the absolute best. She had so much energy and was so much fun. The pizza was great. The guacamole at the hacienda grill was delicious. I only wish they would have had it every day.

We were not allowed into the restaurant as people who had black bracelets had reserved first. We were not allowed to reserve as we had reserved through booking.com!

Facilities were excellent, beds were comfortable, restaurants were varied.
It's location makes it isolated so it's not possible to get 'off campus' without quite a lot of organisation. The biking and kayaking tours on their grounds are also supervised - probably for everyone's safety, but would still have been nice to independently explore. Entertainment by the main pool is LOUD!

The two pools set up was good. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were ample. The cleaning staff did a good job. There were enough activities to keep the kids entertained.
This resort is a bait and switch. We paid for 2 adults on the Booking.com website. When we arrived, we were told that we had only paid for 1 adult, and were forced to pay for an additional adult. We are in the middle of disputing this charge, but it made a horrible first impression. Secondly, the vegetarian options (or lack thereof) were PATHETIC. They even put sausage in the scrambled eggs in the breakfast buffet. There was no oatmeal or Muesli. Unbelievable lack of fresh fruit given that we were in Mexico. A simple bowl of bananas at breakfast would have made a big difference. When I complained about this, the staff couldn't care less. This place clearly doesn't know how to cater to an international palette. Everyday they served lunch by the main pool, which would have been great, but again, there were NO vegetarian options. One day was tacos - only beef and chicken. They didn't even have beans or avocado! AND, to top it all off, you couldn't take food to go from any of the restaurants. My husband literally ate plain tortillas with salsa for lunch.

It had very beautiful grounds! So pretty. The breakfast at the buffet was very good in the mornings¿ and dinner and service at Hacienda was EXCELLENT!
The beach was not nice and the whole resort outside smelled like sewer.. in the 6 days we were there NOBODY was at the beach. It was not cleaned up lots and lots of seaweed and the water was brown and stinky. Also DON¿T pay for a nicer room!

Pleasant
The greenery was beautiful! The resort itself was nice.
Food was bland. The worse part was the children slides closing at 500 pm. Food service at pool doesn’t start til 1:00 pm.

Wonderful
The food is fresh, delicious and varied. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable.
The spa experience was amazing and we also loved the kayak tour.
Not enough shade in the pool area. Sunshades are only available for "premium" guests, which doesn't make sense since a shade cannot be a luxury service in a beach. We had to move around frequently so our 4 month old baby would not get sun burns. Also, this "premium" package which includes shades was not available via booking.

Wonderful
As soon as we arrived we were greeted and immediately checked in. The room was spotless clean and the beds so comfy. Gilberto with room service was great, always dropping our food off still warm and with a huge smile. The pools were nice too. The beach is not blue water but it was expected due to previous comments, however there is a little spot that has blue clear water that we swam in and it had fish (my kids loved that). If you want to do activities book as soon as you can due to space availability. We went snorkeling and kayaking Hector, Jesus and Gilberto were great (not your typical boring guides). Our favorite restaurant was La Hacienda Grill, they had the best food (fried octopus was delicious).
There weren’t many options to eat for breakfast. It was okay food.

The resort was very pretty and well taken care of, room was large and comfortable
The noise at night! Between 11PM and 4AM very noisy carts beeing rolled right outside the door (like a freaking train) Extremely annoying, would wake me up few times every night.

Very Poor
Staff in gift shop, coffee cafe, and indoor buffet/grill room were friendly and courteous.
Upon arriving in 04/04/22, we were told our reservations were not in their system, even though we had email confirmations that we made via www.Booking.com from June 2021! I was part of a 9 person group, and there were 3 separate reservations. We had never been to this property before and only booked our stay there because one of us won a raffle to stay there, so she asked if we wanted to join her and her family.
After speaking to the reservations manager for almost an hour, we were finally given rooms, (my room was 2201) but were told the rooms were for “members”, and since we were not members, our rooms would be switched the next day when rooms for “non-members” were available.
Booking.com does not state that this is a “membership property” and rooms listed on the website are for “non-members”. We spent approximately 4 hours of our vacation arguing with hotel staff because our rooms were not ready when we arrived, nor were the rooms we were to be switched to the following day, 04/05/22.
The property is not kept up and is understaffed. There are not enough towels if you lay out by the pool, and part of their beach has an outdoor grill and bar area, but it was vacant and not staffed. I walked around the pools one morning around 6:30 AM and all the drink glasses and cups from the previous day were still stacked in the ground in several places! The glasses and cups should have been taken to the kitchen the night before and cleaned in the dishwasher!
Also, I don’t think they CLEAN the rooms. I think they only change bed linens and towels! The room I was given on 04/05/22, room 1315, had a daddy longleg spider in the ceiling above the bed with a huge cobweb!
Upon checking out on 04/08/22, we found that the rooms they booked in the computer did not match the keys we were given. They blamed us and said we must have switched rooms! The property gives wristbands that give you electronic access to your room and property restaurants.
