The people who serve breakfast are very nice and helpful. I have stayed there for a couple of times and they are always very attentive, nice and are always cleaning tables, and constantly resupplying all the food and beverages.
I normally stay for one night and I don't like that housekeeping knocks on the door before 9am to check if there's anything I need knowing the the room will be checked out that same day. There's no reason to do that if their records show that the room will be checked out that same morning :(

As it has been recently renewed, the City Express by Marriot Playa del Carmen is a confortable hotel, with good and clean rooms. the breakfast the serve now has more cold and hot options, as well as juice, milk and coffee. The bed was confortable. The staff friendly and efficient.

The rooms were clean and comfortable.
The breakfast was very inadequate. There was a very limited variety, and items were not replenished when they ran out; hotel guests were constantly waiting for replenishment. We had difficulty communicating because the staff did not speak English.
