Disappointing
The staff was excellent and the facilities are beautiful.
5 years ago this was definitely a 5 star resort, but today it is about a 2 star. The toilets don't work well. The ceiling over the bed leaked. The service to the rooms was slow and iffy. The bikes were not available as they used to be.
The food in the main restaurant was exactly the same for 5 nights - the menu needs to change regularly. If it is supposed to be an "all inclusive" then there should not be extra charges for liquor and special meals. It was an extremely disappointing stay and we brought family with us - I think it was our 5th stay - and our last.

we loved this place, the room was exceptional we stayed at a palafitos and the view to the lagoon, the silence we experience my wife loved it, we have a 11 year old and dont get me wrong we love him but the peace and quiet we had it was great, and the room its near the beach and 2 pools and restaurants so it was all we wanted to, all we did was have breakfast then the pool, drinks, beach, lunch, pool, we took a shower and head out to dinner and that was our routine all week, this hotel doesn't have a buffet restaurant its all menu order and its totally worth it because the food its great, the staff its exceptional too they were always checking on us to see if we needed anything, we had a butler Israel and he really make sure we had everything we needed in all our stay, the waiters, bartenders and cleaning staff really make you feel as a VIP, the beach was great and the spa really great, we took the couples massage and a temazcal experience an were totally worth it, we only left the hotel once to go to the Santuario María Desatadora de Nudos in cancun but for anything else we didn't have lo leave the hotel to do anything, it has all we needed so we we hope to came back soon.
theres nothing we can think about that we didnt like.

Amazing stay! Wonderful staff. Beautiful property. Drinks were great. Food was also amazing. Didn’t have one bad meal the entire trip. I really enjoyed that the food comes from restaurants on the property and not buffet style like most all inclusives. Bikes to get around the property were convenient, but they’ll also pick you up in a golf cart if you don’t want to bike around. Pool was perfect temperature with great views. If you wanna go into Carmen, they’ll order you a taxi and tell you how much it costs before they arrive so you’re not scammed (25-40 USD depending on time of day and where in Carmen you’re going).
My ONLY qualm with the entire trip was the beds in the room were way too firm for me. I mean FIRM FIRM. As a side sleeper, it killed my hips. I slept on the couch in the room as it was slightly more comfortable. However my friend slept fine on the bed so if you like it firm you’ll be okay!

Proximity to Cancun airport. Nice beach. Food at Amber restaurant was very good.
This hotel is not as advertised. The buildings are run down. Hot water is luke warm at best. Sewage smell dominated most of the property. The staff was not knowledgable about their own property or restaurant hours. The staff's English was limited.

The trees and peaceful surroundings.
The bikes are old and need to be upgraded. As well there would be times staff would contact transportation golf carts to take us back to our room and they would not show up . This happened a handful of times in our 7 days there.

The food overall was quite good. The hotel had a fun aesthetic in the rainforest and most of the staff were extremely welcoming and accommodating. Great beach access and a good, intimate experience for adults and couples.
During the last night of our stay, a person who was not a guest was allowed to spend time at the bar, mingling with paid hotel guests, deceiving them about his intentions. Thankfully, security eventually removed him, but the bartender was complicit.

Hotel staff stole our credit cards, cash and apple airpods The day of the checkout we left our bags with the reception and after pickup discovered credit cards, cash and Apple airpods missing from nags. We reported issue, hotel later claimed we didn't.

The Staff was very friendly. The food was excellent at all times. The beach ist amazing.
They have issues with the air conditioning. They had to move us from our original room to another room im the middle of the night. The air conditioning of the original room did not cool the room under 27°C! And it was 34°C outside with a humidity of over 80% at the time of our stay

Blue Diamond resort is a truly gorgeous, well maintained and beautiful resort. The sensitivity to the ecosystem and environment was wonderful and we felt very fortunate to be able to experience the natural jungle wildlife like spider monkeys coati, crocodiles, iguanas, wild deer and the many gorgeous birds. So special!!
However, the true stars of the resort are the outstanding staff who provided VIP service and attention. We felt so warmly welcomed and appreciated. It was so lovely to see the staff interacting so warmly with each other and they seemed to be very happy and we always heard laughter.
The room was spacious, lovely and very comfortable. It was great to always have a well stocked minibar with water and drinks and the housekeeping staff always kept the room clean. Please remember to take pesos to tip after meals and daily housekeeping.
The theme nights and dinners were wonderful and especially the Fireshow was outstanding and the Mexican dancers and mariachi band were fantastic. The food was delicious and varied and at Ambar men are asked to wear pants and shoes, not sandals, it was lovely to get a little dressed up.
We hope we can return soon for another visit and highly recommend Blue Diamond.
