Poor
Location is within walking distance to lots of stuff.
The ratings for this place are very misleading. We unfortunately reserved a week long stay.
Theres mold on the walls in the restroom as well as a roach infestation. Their "clean" sheets were stained and the bed and pillows were awful.
It was dirty. The sink was clogged and smelly and had to be taken care of our first night there.
The second day there, housecleaning ruined my brand new black clothing by getting clorox all over it. They did pay me back for my damaged clothes, but waited until the very last minute to do so.
After our repeated complaints, they switched us to a much cleaner accommodation for the last 2 nights . We were told these better rooms are typically reserved for law enforcement. The toilet paper dispenser and towel rack fell off of the walls.
This place was awful.

The location is good. The staff is really great and very friendly. You can always speak with them if you find a problem and they try to resolve it. I would return to Hotel La Paz.
They did not clean the room. One day the staff told me I had only paid for one day. Sometimes a language barrier but even when I paid for 2 more days, no one came to empty the waste baskets or make the bed. I travel a great deal and this area at Hotel La Paz must improve if you want paying customers to continue coming. Also someone was so loud in the hall way in the middle of the night or morning. However ,that was not consistent. People were knocking on other people's doors in the middle of the night. Please keep your guest safe. The internet worked well. There are a number of stairs so be aware of that. No stair rail. They sell sodas and other small treats behind the counter. No coffee in room or on the premises. OXXO is about 2 blocks away. In Mexico you can always find a place to eat. (Bring ear plus).

Clean Room. Water was warm for a shower but they did not clean it . I asked for towels at the desk and was given clean ones. The desk clerk did say the nights stay must be paid in full to get new towels.
Not cleaning the room daily.

Exceptional
Receptionist and staff were kind.
We needed an extra towel for the bathroom floor. As it got wet, it became very slippery.

Good size room. Super clean when I arrived. And they cleaned it again half way through my stay.
Fairly centrally located - 15min walk to Metro station and downtown.
Shower works well
AC works well
Internet works well
Luckily the front desk gave me a room a bit away from the street, nevertheless I would strongly recommend
to use ear plugs! Maybe also a sleeping mask, because there is always some light coming in.
Staff is friendly and helpful.
All in all not a bad experience at all, considering that I got a good price!
But next time in Guadalajara I would invest a couple more pesos and go to a different hotel.
Well, the hotel is a bit older and it shows in the furniture and facilities.
Since the hotel is older, it is noisy. Either from guests who came home late on a Saturday evening
or from staff, cleaning later at night or early in the morning. They use walkie-talkies.
And once at 11pm it started smelling of cooked food very intensely, which is not a nuisance, but distracting
when you want to sleep. And they don't even serve food! It was actually more funny than annoying!
The neighbourhood is not really great. I wouldn't walk there alone at night!
There are not many restaurants or cafes in close proximity.
The road in front of the hotel is well travelled - see earplugs!
