Wonderful
Great staff and location. With private beach and a lot of trees and nature surrounding the hotel.
The bicycles need mantainance and there wasn't the possibility to adjust seat height, very simple and easy to resolve.

Perfect location! Felt super safe as a solo female traveler. Family friendly. Walking distance to everything. Amazing staff! Super clean rooms. Shout out to Antonio at the buffet restaurant he's on point-get the premium package all you can eat and drink totally worth it! The chilaquiles were amazing-had everday for breakfast. The buffet has a different food theme every night which is nice and convenient, plus has a snack menu if you want hamburgers and such.
Side note: I highly recommend watching awesome sunsets at Tekio a few steps away from the hotel, for cool djs, drinks and vibes.
Ongoing construction noise, not enough beach/lounge beds for the amount of guests-sadly I never got to use. Some guests would wake up at 7 am just to be able to grab one. Also the bicycles are rusty.
Other than that, I had a wonderful stay and would definitely book again. Has a great vibe compared to other spots.

Good staff good area, good food.
No hooks or any place to hang bath towels or wet beach clothes. No table or extra chairs for visitors or to play games. Had bathrobes the first night, but then we not returned.

This was our fifth trip to Holbox since 2016 and our second stay at HM Paraíso. We love how laid back the property feels, with generous space between the villas and a beautiful expanse of beachfront that never feels crowded. The atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious, which is exactly what we look for on the island.
The staff truly stands out. The servers are attentive, kind, and genuinely warm without being overbearing. The location is also hard to beat. It is an easy eight to ten minute walk to the town center, close enough to enjoy everything Holbox offers while still feeling quiet and removed.
While staying at the hotel, guests are required to wear a wristband indicating whether they are all inclusive or not. The bracelets are somewhat uncomfortable and while we understand the purpose they detract slightly from the otherwise relaxed feel of the property.
At check in, there is also a separate deposit required for beach and pool towels. We completely understand why this policy exists, but after a fairly long journey to reach Holbox, it feels like an extra and somewhat tedious step. It would be much smoother if this were integrated into the initial check in process, with an option to opt in or out.
This was our second stay at the hotel and we were assigned the same villa as last time. Unfortunately, the sink, which we reported as broken during our previous stay, was still not functioning properly and appeared to have worsened. Water spills significantly, making the countertop unusable and preventing use of the shelf below the basin. There was also a persistent sewage smell coming from the bathroom, which was difficult to ignore.
From a hospitality perspective, after ordering food or drinks, guests are required to sign a bill each time, even when staying all inclusive. Over the course of a nine day stay, this became surprisingly exhausting and disruptive. It seems there could be a more efficient system that allows all inclusive guests to avoid signing repeated zero balance checks.
Bike rentals were another area of friction. On several occasions, we experienced delays or confusion when trying to rent bikes, particularly when renting later in the day. We were often warned that renting close to the 6pm return time would limit use the following day, which made the process feel unclear and unnecessarily complicated.
Meal timing could also be improved, especially for families with young children. Dinner service beginning after 7pm was challenging for us, as our children became overtired and restless, impacting not only our experience but also that of other diners.

Wonderful
I loved my deck with a hammock, a pool in the resort, and another one close to the beach was very nice. The beach itself was very clean and super beautiful, only 2 min walk from my room. Meals are buffet style with tons to choose from, and staff are always ready to help.
Nothing really, the bathroom didn’t have the greatest odor, but the shower pressure and hot water made up for it, they are something you don’t find at many other places.

Wonderful
I'd already stayed at Palapas which is a sister hotel, just next door, and had expected this hotel not to be quite so nice but my room was a Junior Suite and was amazing. The breakfast wasn't so quite so good and the dinning area and pool not as fab, but I thought the quality of the room was fantastic. I was first floor with a balcony. the bathroom appeared to be brand new, and there was a separate loo which is always nice. It was a huge room just for myself.
The staff in the restaurant were equally as nice as the sister hotel, and the reception staff were more pleasant.
Nothing really. I had enjoyed the swim up bar in their hotel next door but apart from that, it's lovely .

Staff were friendly, the beach was nice, close walk to town but not so close that it would feel too busy.
Our room felt a little dated and not very cozy, and the hotel is not very vegan-friendly. Some dishes like black beans could easily be made vegan, but they are cooked in pig fat so they are not even vegetarian.

Great location, on the best part of the beach. Easy walk to the village where all the restaurants and bars are. The room was big and comfortable with a nice balcony. The transportation that we booked through the hotel to go to the airport was excellent.
The shower was impossible to use. One day the pressure was almost nothing. Another day we didn’t have hot water. Also, one night we had dinner at the hotel and we were very disappointed with the quality of the food (Spanish night).

Good
The location of the hotel is great. The staff is very friendly and skilled. The breakfast was fine. And the beach is amazing.
The two pool areas are placed a weird place and not really that tempting. The front garden area is not really being used for anything, it seems a bit weird. We missed having a bar or a nice area where you would want to hang out when you wen't in your room. A bit overpriced compared to competitiors.
