The resort sits on a beautiful stretch of beach, which was much better than some of the nearby resorts we walked past. I loved that we could get a shaded palapa every day without issue. We would routinely make it to the beach after 11 a.m. and always had one on the second row. Many were never used during the day. The pools were nice and the resident iguanas were a highlight. Our room was lovely, and all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Unlike everywhere else in Cancun, they never tried to squeeze every possible peso out of us. Just the opposite. Overall, though, it felt more like a 4-star resort than a 5-star resort.
Unfortunately, after a few days of beautiful blue water, the sargassum seaweed rolled in and kept us out of the water for most of the trip. The staff did a good job keeping the beach clean, but the water is literally brown and very uninviting. This isn't the fault of the hotel, just an issue across the Caribbean. Between this and the constant pressure to spend more in restaurants outside the hotel, I'm not sure I'll return to Cancun again. If you go, this hotel is a great option. I'll add that the included breakfast was good, but it didn't change from day to day, so it got quite tiring. We also largely avoided eating other meals at the hotel, as there were better options just a short taxi ride away (although, as I wrote, those weren't ideal either).

The location, the facilities, and the treatment from the hotel staff in every area were perfect. I was truly amazed by how attentive and helpful everyone was and how they helped us solve anything we needed. The rooms were super comfortable, and the breakfasts were excellent as well. Without a doubt, I would stay here again and highly recommend it. 10/10.

Great beach facilities,plenty sun beds and places in the shade.comfortable bedrooms. Good breakfast selection (however see below)
The one thing which needs addressing with the hotel is the large flock of birds all over the open restaurant,constantly flying and trying to steal food from your plate.you couldn’t not leave your table unattended for 1 second.,defecating all over the place.
The issue was very acute at breakfast time in particular.
Not only, it was not a pleasant experience,but it represents a major hygiene and health issue with cross contamination which could lead to serious health problems.This is not acceptable for a 5 star hotel.they could use a system of sliding mosquito nets to prevent the birds coming in during meal time.
