The hotel was in a closed zone, very safe. It was very clean. One of the best mattresses we have ever slept on. Great selection of food, drinks, and swimming pools. Very kind staff.
Unfortunately, the seashore was full of sargassum. Some pier would help for those who came to Mexico to enjoy the sea, or a net, like other resorts. I know, it is for a very limited time, but it would make the holiday better.
We did not like the music by the pools, but it is only a personal opinion. The staff is friendlier after tips, of course.

It was absolutely breath taking! I have never been to a resort that took such good care of their property!!
We were saddened by the abundance of seaweed in the ocean. We were hoping to be able to swim in the ocean. But we do not discredit the resort for this issue.

Good
Great design, lovely food, clean, lots on the daily program and fantastic hydro spa.
Tennis court was non functioning as didn’t have a fence around the entire perimeter which meant you literally had to hunt for balls in the jungle, tennis court net was propped up by a chair, construction happening right by courts and when I asked to speak to the manager they never came or bothered to listen. Also only had three balls on the entire property. We went to play tennis so we were extremely disappointed.
Also it was a birthday retreat and I informed them but they didn’t do anything special in that respect.
Finally, no one told us it was seaweed season. It was so much we couldn’t swim in the ocean for our entire stay! The serenity package was ok but way over rated. We are well travelled and we don’t plan to return as there are much nicer places.

Perfect location! Not near all the other busy resorts and away from the main city. Three pool areas (one exclusive to serenity club guests). The staff makes sure you have everything you need. Serenity club guests get a butler who is there when you need anything throughout your stay. The restaurants and buffet were pretty good.
There’s nothing I didn’t like about the property. My only picky complaint is that the TVs don’t have streaming apps on them so late at night you just have to watch whatever is on the channels, if you can find something.

My favorite feature about the resort was the restaurants. The food was exceptional at the restaurants and the staff were super friendly. Still thinking about the pizza from the Italian restaurant! Actually, the staff was really friendly all around the resort. I had an issue with the ceiling fan not working and the bad connections on the tv and I submitted the issues through the app and they were fixed before I retuned back to the room for the night.
The report is pretty chill, which I did like but there wasn’t much to do after 7pm. There were a few shows but there wasn’t a lot to choose from if you wanted to stay up after 10pm.

The cleanliness. We appreciated that staff made sure things that residents left was picked up. We never really saw things left behind. And most importantly we love the staff. Rubi was great at her job made sure we knew the activities that were going on. Danny who worked at the excursion desk was amazing multitasking making sure we got everything we needed. Manny our butler checked up on us every day to make sure we were good .All the staff had great energy, kind, and helpful making the stay easier
After our second stay although the food was all amazing some of my guest experienced stomach issues causing them to stay in the bathroom. Making it hard for them to join in the festivities due eating the food

Haven is an amazing resort! This was my second time visiting, and I can’t say enough great things about the staff, they truly go above and beyond. The resort itself is beautiful, and it’s impossible to be anything but happy while staying here.

The staff are generally lovely, some are brilliant. Luis at the pool area looked after us, Mar in entertainment was great fun, Santiago at Vista (one of the two Serenity Club breakfast places over the pool) was lovely, Adrian our butler was also great. The pools are amazing and offer variety (the quite pool, the party pool, the pool where you can swim etc.) and the food quality in general was pretty good. The drinks venues were good and the staff well-versed in cocktails etc. The spa was nice, although you don't get long to enjoy it. The entertainment in Moons ranged from quite cheesy to 'wow, that's amazing'. Generally good fun, nice mini-cabaret feel, table service etc. - we enjoyed it. The hotel does a good job of trying to lay on entertainment during the day and night.
Food quality is general high but we did get quite a lot of lukewarm food during our stay. We got coffee delivered each morning and in general it was lukewarm, often no milk. We tried all the restaurants and found them all to be fine. The only 'nice' restaurant in our view is Olios, the Mediterranean restaurant. The mexican, Asian and Italian restaurants are nice enough but more functional. We did the Hibbachi, teppanyaki thing in Satsu and it was fine, not amazing but good. We weren't inspired enough to do the pay extra Omasake thing. People we met did the fancy (pay extra) chef's table thing in Olio's and didn't think it was very good - we didn't do it.
We found no limits on food or drinks. The house wine is nice enough although the premium wines are pushed first, quite hard, and you have to specifically ask for the house wine. I'm not sure I noticed a major difference between 'premium brand' and normal drinks in the Serenity areas.
The Tahani show was good fun (Serenity only) but again the food was a little under-warm. The service in this restaurant during breakfast we found very hit and miss.
We were very disappointed with our room - one of the higher end rooms (an ocean view swim up junior suite). Very tired. The bathroom in particular was very tired. Lots of black mould in the shower tray area, rusted mirror in the vanity area, broken tiles, lots of dust at high level in the shower and toilet areas, at one point the light stopped working in the bathroom (quickly fixed) and we had to ask for extra hangers - we initially had 6 in total for a 9 night stay. The patio furniture was very worn with one old foam pad splitting up the seam on one of the recliner beds, nothing on the other one.
The room didn't match the price we paid.
The towels on pool bed in the morning thing took us back to the 1980's - that needs to be nipped in the bud. If the hotel is busy (particularly at the weekends) unless you get to the pool at 7.30 (7.00 better) you'll struggle to get a bed, even at the Serenity pools (we were Serenity Club). People come and book beds with towels at 6.30. It was ridiculous. We complained about it and were initially met with shrugged shoulders and 'that's how it is'. After a hard stare and the comment 'I'm sure it's easier for you not to police your own policy than do something about it' the pool staff were a little more helpful. The beach is nice but not awesome, lots of thick seaweed which we'd read about in the reviews ahead of time, and not super-clean - it's ok but not 'well-maintained'. The hotel has two gyms, both are 2.5 out of 5 - bit of everything but not much of anything and if you have 6-10 people in the main gym it felt busy. Investment needed here.

It’s spacious and there are plenty of places to relax for whatever you’re looking for. The main pool has activities and music, the other pool is quiet and more serene, and the beach is the most quiet and private feeling. We hung out at the beach every day.
The spa was also exceptional! I highly recommend!

Away from the hotel zone. Adults only with just right mix of quiet vs action zones. Overall a decent all inclusive. Has a gym and play zones for people that want to stay active. Our favorite thing was how nice the room was and having our own swim up pool deck.
Beach setting can be better.
Food was mediocre and took very long time to come out. So sometimes we sat waiting for over 30 minutes.

We have already rebooked and we NEVER repeat a stay. I can only say stay here if you are thinking of traveling to Cancun and want to relax and have amazing service. We are not party people per say, but the stay here made us feel like dancing! We were able to watch the super-bowl and they put on a great party! We couldn't help but get into the spirit of the festivities! Shout out to our AMAZING butler Denisee - she was always ready to help - I think she sets the tone for the stay immediately - we really just adored her. Everything from dinner reservations to appointments at the spa - so helpful! Again the staff makes this property a great experience - everyone greets you with a smile - and I feel they really enjoy what they do. We met our amazing housekeeping staff (Hola Flora!) We were in building 8 for a great view of the ocean - everything is an easy walk - take the back path to the main building for activities and dining - do not sleep on the flora and fauna - this place is a sanctuary!!
Finally these folks made our stay so special as well:
Brenda - bar at serenity - poquito mas!
Maria - lobby bar
Adrian - lobby bar - always smiling and ready to with jokes while working the busy lobby during the live bands!
Vicky at reception at both Vistas and Tahani Breakfast - you remembered our room and our names - what a gem!
Santiago - Vistas - best Baja Tacos!
Leo - Tahani Breakfast
Russell and Jocelyn at Satsu - Hello to your brother in Norway!
Ernesto our pool waiter who kept the beverages flowing and always smiling!
LEAVING! HAHA

We had a wonderful time at Haven! It was our first time on this property and everyone was accommodating to our needs. Hospitality was above and beyond as always in Mexico. Pedro and Allan were our favorite bartenders.
I didn’t care for the food at the restaurants but I was able to find something here and there. It was just o.k. The Asian restaurant was probably the best for food of all.
