Quiet, beautiful and staff was exceptional! The management from the reception to the mangers in the restaurants were very accommodating due to my limited food requirements.
I would have liked to see an ala cart menu in the main dining room, however the management made it work!!

One of the best stay we’ve ever had with my husband and our little one. The venue is just outstanding, you feel y’re in a jungle while having the beautiful shoreline. The staff was so friendly and satisfying all our needs which were not easy to since we had our 10months daughter with us. We will definitely come back here !

It’s beautiful! Couldn’t have asked for more in terms of the view. Shoutout to Prashant the F&B manager - brilliant service! Natasha who turned around the concierge experience and Dinesh from housekeeping who locked my locker which I had left open!

The hotel is large and clean, ideal for those looking to spend their vacation in a more isolated and private setting. The staff is very attentive and willing to fulfill any request at any time, which we truly appreciated.
However, we found the overall layout of the property to be uncomfortable and not very thoughtfully designed. The atmosphere felt rather dull and lonely. There are two swimming pools, but the surrounding area lacks comfort, and ducks frequently swim in the water, which was unexpected.
The breakfast area felt overly formal, with staff being a bit too intrusive — it was hard to relax while feeling constantly watched. Meals were served à la carte, which wasn’t very convenient for us. We missed a sense of ease and relaxation throughout our stay.
There seemed to be an excessive number of staff members, often engaged in meetings and internal discussions, which gave the impression that guests were secondary to their busy work environment.
The location of the hotel is not very favorable — there’s nowhere to go nearby, and the beach is quite uncomfortable for swimming. The view overlooks a city port with large cargo ships, which was not shown in the hotel’s photos and came as a disappointment.
One of the most frustrating experiences was during check-in, when we were asked to pay a very large deposit of 70,000 rupees. After negotiation, it was reduced to 25,000. Upon check-out, we were told the remaining balance would be refunded within a week, but the hotel did not respond to our inquiries for a month. The refund was finally processed after 1.5 months, and only after contacting Booking.com support.
Unfortunately, these issues significantly affected our overall impression of the stay.

The service and room, the landscape, the facilities all were just par excellence! We feel like going back and staying forever! Oberoi makes you feel like its your home. Im so glad we chose Oberoi but sad we didnt chose them for our entire trip!

from the first moment staff catered to our needs. we had early check in and late check out! activities with snorkeling and glass bottom were great. we wish we stayed more so we would participated in painting pottery classes and stargazing etc. the room with the private pool was beautiful with nice private garden. it felt we were in heaven! the hotel had nice old statues from volcanic Rock from ancient civilization which makes it special. every view is carefully thought and every place is nicely decorated with taste.. it is worth it to stay in this hotel. is like being transported in another world... hotel is very romantic for couples and people who want to stay in tranquille environment to relax. we appreciated the absence of loud music in the bars and in the beach.

Oberoi was stunning! Food was the best we had whilst in Mauritius. The service was incredibly....the house keepers were so attentive and offered me a maternity pillow and added nice touches to our babymoon. The rooms are super comfortable and luxurious. We had left another hotel in Mauritius due to it not being a good enough 5* and we are so glad we picked the Oberoi as it really is beautiful and just so relaxing.
only down side would be that the swimming pool wasn't right by the beach. Also, there were a lot of bird feathers in the swimming pool which made the pool due to the birds swimming lots in the pool. Wasn't a major issue but just an observation for improvement.

Absolutely everything about the Oberoi was the best of any hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Every single staff member was so friendly, professional, and helpful. The room was insanely nice, with so many cool features and luxuries. Nicest resort gym I’ve ever seen, great beaches and pools, incredible food. Really hope I can make it back!

The food was mostly excellent, with the reef fish, malai kebab, roasted chicken, and dal makhani standing out as truly delicious dishes. The hotel staff, especially Natacha, were incredibly courteous and friendly, making the experience feel warm and welcoming. The F&B staff were also very professional, ensuring a great dining experience. The grounds of the hotel are absolutely stunning, beautifully maintained, and add to the charm of the property. The checkout process was smooth, and the front office staff member in the white shirt was the most professional of them all—unfortunately, I didn’t catch his name, but his efficiency and service were outstanding.
The thali was disappointing this time, especially compared to last year. While it looked stunning, the chicken and lamb dishes were bland and watery, lacking flavor, and the rest of the dishes on the thali didn’t fare much better. The check-in process remains an issue—once again, it was not up to standard, and I strongly feel that the check-in staff need better training to be more proactive and attentive. Given the level of service expected at a property like this, it’s an area that should be improved.
