Toilet was stinking at night...bad drains. Overpriced food for quality Have been waiting more than 1 hr after regular check in time to be taken to room. Room was ready and i had to personally go to counter to ask to be taken to a room that was already ready

The staff was exceptional and always gave excellent service. From the reception to cleaning staff to the concierge. Breakfast was lovely, the chefs were always there to interact with the customers and were happy to engage. Vik the manager is superb, Rohan at breakfast also, too many names to mention but brilliant service and food. Kumin and Jade restaurants also have excellent variety of food. Yashneel at Jade served us very well. The suite was clean and very spacious. The view was awesome and premises were super safe, you could leave your door open and nothing would happen. The resort provided lots of drinking water in the rooms which was impressive.
Nothing really, just the beach is a bit rocky so you cant swim but that is not in the control of the resort.

Breakfast offered a good variety and we loved their pineapple croissants! Staff went overboard to give us anything we asked for and often remembered our names (it’s a large resort - they had to work hard to do that).

If you’re thinking about visiting Mauritius, stop searching — Le Méridien is the place to be. This hotel is a dream from start to finish. The location is breathtaking, the food is great,the property is modern and elegant, and the views are out of this world. But what truly makes Le Méridien exceptional is the people. The level of care, warmth, and hospitality here is something you rarely find, even at the most luxurious resorts. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel not just welcome, but genuinely valued. I want to give special thanks to the cleaning and room service team,they were absolutely incredible. Every day our room was spotless, beautifully arranged, and stocked with care. Their quiet, professional attention made a big difference. Also, a heartfelt thank-you to Aki and Ashley for going above and beyond in making our stay comfortable and memorable. Their energy, kindness, and attention to detail made us feel like VIPs. The service here doesn’t just meet expectations — it exceeds them in every way. From top to bottom, every single staff member contributed to what I can only describe as a five-star human experience. I’ve stayed in many hotels across the world, but Le Méridien Mauritius is in a league of its own. If you’re lucky enough to stay here, you’ll understand why I’m already dreaming about coming back. 10/10. Highly, highly recommended.

Our stay at Le Meridien Ile Maurice was extremely disappointing and far below expectations. We experienced repeated cleanliness problems in our rooms, including insects found on the bed and a persistent sewage smell coming from the bathroom. Because of these hygiene concerns, we requested room changes and were moved three times, yet the same issues continued in every room. The restaurant experience was also concerning. Food was left uncovered, and we personally observed insects in jam containers and on food. On our first night, dinner was served on the beach, and we observed dogs and cats walking near the buffet area without any visible effort by staff to protect the food. When we requested compensation, the communication with management was inconsistent. The Arab guest relations officer initially informed us that compensation would be for only one night, which was the night we did not stay at the hotel due to early check-out. The hotel manager later changed his position several times regarding the number of nights to be compensated and eventually advised us to resolve the matter through Booking.com. Despite this, we were still asked to pay the full tourism tax for all nights, including a night we did not stay at the hotel. Throughout our stay, we were repeatedly required to pack our belongings and move between rooms, which caused significant stress and inconvenience. This review reflects our personal experience. Unfortunately, the level of cleanliness and the way the situation was handled did not meet acceptable hospitality standards.

The facilities and the restaurants were fabulous, lovely big spacious rooms with beautiful sea views. Enjoyed the pool activities and gym.
The service in Buffet for breakfast and dinner could be improved. With towels being left on chairs, resulting in no space to sit when swimming.

Great property, the facilities were good and restaurants food was great albeit on the pricy side. The room was beautiful and the staff were friendly and helpful when they could help. We received a nice welcome snd a few nice surprises as it was our honeymoon.
I stayed in the Nirvana suite right on the edge of the resort. These are the priciest and most luxurious suites with their own private pool. Problem is there is a smell of sewerage on this side of the property, it is probably some type of water treatment plant. The smell is not nice and to the point where we avoided using the private pool or the patio outside. We reported this to the staff, but there is not much they can do about it. I am posting this review so that others can be aware of the problem which you will not see on the photos. I see others have experienced the same problem. I wish I saw this before splurging on the most expensive rooms for our honeymoon.

Exception service and staff at a beautiful resort away from the regular touristy places. The Nomad staff went out of their way to accommodate my mother’s request for special meals due to religious festival days. Housekeeping staff always kept our rooms in tip top shape and met all our requests. Staff always went above and beyond to try to make our stay wonderful.
The snorkeling activity is the obvious main activity guests want to enjoy but it was always fully booked and did not have enough boats/trips to accommodate all guests.

We had a lovely stay at Le Méridien Ile Maurice. The welcome was warm, the room was beautiful and comfortable.The restaurants were great! A special thanks to Bayo from Papaya Bar — he was exceptionally attentive and friendly.
Although the overall experience was great, there were a few things that could be improved. The staff member who initially showed us to our room was very kind at first and offered his contact number for assistance, but later became unresponsive, which caused some inconvenience — including a missed cake that the hotel had kindly prepared for us. On the last day, our room was left with only one bottle of water and one clean towel instead of the usual two, and there were no hand towels. These are small details, but they made the service feel less professional compared to the rest of our stay.

From start to finish, I would say that the staff here are very nice. From my room Butler Jean to the front staff, they were all wonderful. My massage was wonderful and room was immaculate. I definitely recommend the Junior Suite and ask for Jean as your 24/7 room Butler.

The warm hospitality, excellent service, delicious food, well-maintained facilities, and serene beachfront ambience made for a truly enjoyable stay. Special birthday arrangements for my son and the exceptional support from staff members Pawan and Darwin were standout highlights.

Reception staff were good, but we did not understand why we had to produce proof of booking. Food was good. Although we did not use them, the sea and sporting facilities are very good. Bed was very comfortable.
Hotel is looking tired. The cushions in reception were stained, and the cushions on the dining room were even worse. They were stained and dirty and several had seams that had split and the stuffing was coming out. Servicing of hotel room was generally poor. In one instance the room was only cleaned after 16h00 and that was after staff were called by a supervisor. We were told that room cleaning staff clean rooms when occupiers were out. On that day we had been out all day. Shower door did not close properly, and the seal at bottom of door leaked. This resulted in pools of water on the floor after every shower. No air freshener in toilet. Fridge was not replenished very day. I feel that bedside carpets should be provided. Lack of rugs make you feel as if you are getting into bed with dirty feet.
