Incredible views, great beach restaurant and bar, very comfortable well sized rooms. The resort is very spacious and even when full, everyone can comfortably find a private lounger.
There is just a sliver of water where you are actually able to swim in the sea water. The rest is either unaccessible because of the rocks or too shallow.

Very Good
5 Night stay in October. The rooms were comfortable and access directly outside was great. We had noisy people right next to us which spoilt the room. Breakfast awesome and plenty of space outside to chill by the beach. I really enjoyed the extra facilities that were available and took up the snorkling but didnt have time to do a dive - They could have said they are closed for diving on Sundays. Lots of options for dining if you dont want to head outside of the complex. Parking the rental car was excellent with plenty of space to park in a secure area.
It is far from a lot of things and not walkable if you are thinking of going outside. Plan for either using lots of taxis or have a rental car, like we did, to explore the north. Takes about 15-20min drive to Grand Baie. 1hr across toTrou d'Eau Douce to get boat to Île aux Cerfs etc or 1/5hrs down to south of the island. Plan yoru stays wisely. We booked two places stay and covered the island that way

Great infrastructure. beautiful beach and good breakfast. Special thanks to the breakfast staff who were extremely helpful and warm.
the reception was extremely unhelpful and unresponsive. they would commit to call back to resolve an issue but never follow through on their commitment. one of the person Kevin at their concierge was extremely unhelpful and clearly ignored speaking to us after several requests. we waited to specifically speak to him but he seemed to be more interested in attending more preferred guests who clearly were arriving much later than us. very racist and this is not something one expects from such a big organisation.
lack of warmth you would expect from a holiday resort like this.

Exceptional
Very well trained staff in all services, very good facilities, beaches and restaurants offer a lovely opportunity to rest and relax. Walking along the shore or just trying the signature cocktail recipes at the bar during sunset is unforgettable.
The lagoon is rather shallow around the hotel. If you really want to swim, you'd better walk (a bit) to turtle bay or take a cab to Balaclava beach.

The staff and team in general were exceptional. Amit, who prepared our room during our stay, was a real pleasure, with sensational details and special attention.
The restaurants are exceptionally delicate, and the table service is informal and immediately puts you at ease.

The property was really great. Loved it. Don’t understand why the rating was below 9. I could easily give it above 9.5. The staff were helpful, super friendly. Everybody just greets you with smile. Help you with everything. The room was nicely decored, clean, quite decent. For the location, it’s not far from Port Louise. Ala Carte breakfast from the Mediterranean restaurant was a plus. Good choices. And I had great Indian dosa with masala at the buffet breakfast, which was included in the booking price. They even provide free kayaking, and other water activities. Friday evening, there was free Sega music and dance show. I’m happy with basically everything. Awesome experience
I guess if I had to be picky, I got kicked out from the Mediterranean restaurant, bcoz my shorts were too short. ? And the beach wasn’t that nice

Disappointing
The general atmosphere of the hotel was nice
The room was very spacious with a great view but the insects were extremely annoying
We were offered a drink with a cake as we were celebrating our anniversary
The house keeping was a disappointment very slow and not professional they even don’t replace the glass, sometimes they don’t put water and we have to call them and ask for it and then it takes forever to get what you asked for
The food in the breakfast buffet was average the staff were a bit rude
The hotel has 4 restaurants and we tried one of them and it was another disappointment overpriced tasteless

Room was nice and balcony was perfect place to relax and look over the sea. The restaurants were all really good and good value for money. Many sun beds by the pool and sea. My daughter was so excited

Some staff were polite and friendly
Many staff seemed under trained - some were even rude and dismissive.
Mauritius is a great place with lovely people but this hotel did not reflect that at all.
We stayed at the Lux* after the InterContinental and it was an outstanding experience- we were told by management at both the InterContinental itself and the Lux* that it is well known that the InterContinental Mauritius has problems

Wonderful
Location - interesting beach with rocks, losts of fish in the water and crabs on the beach.
Great Views and faciliaties.
Helpful and friendly staff.
Ladies at the spa were very professional.
The hotel did not put me into a twin room with 2 single beds as per my booking. However the sofa bed was made up for my son, so it still worked out ok. We had some problems with ? ants. The house keeping were trying to assist. Being on the ground level and so close to the beach I understand ants can be a problem.
