The staff was helpful, the view was nice.
We booked a standard room and we had to upgrade because it was not as we expected. It was smelly, outdated and dirty. The upgraded room was fine but the cleaning service was not great. At least it was not smelly and had new furniture.

Comfortable bed and pillows. Aircon worked well. Convenient location.
Rude bar staff. Breakfast was low quality with no variety day to day. Yoghurt curdled and fish flavour in syrup. Requested to pay for an upgrade to all inclusive and told there was none, however bar menu showed drinks which were part of all inclusive package.

The meals were good and the bar and restaurant staff and entertainment team so friendly and lovely. We especially liked the Indian food evening, and the evening meal time was always lively and fun, with lots of singing and birthday celebrations. The manager made us feel very welcome and was always present around the hotel. His son was also a great companion for our children, with his excellent English skills! The room was a little dated but didn't bother us at all as we spent so little time in there apart from to sleep, and the beds were comfy. We loved the setting of the hotel by the beach, and the short walk to Mont Choisy and Trou aux Biches, which were both amazing beaches. We did a snorkelling trip to Trou aux Biches, just beyond the reef, which was absolutely fantastic! This was arranged by the entertainment guy whose name we've forgotten but he was amazingly helpful (apologies to him for our forgetfulness). The glass bottom boat trip and use of kayaks by the hotel were also a lovely touch. We would love to return to Coral Azur.
The drinks with the all inclusive deal were a bit limited (no pina coladas!), but there was still a reasonable choice.

Coral Azur has many activities for families, with games throughout the day and entertainment in the evening. Kayaking, snorkeling, glass bottom boat are free but they also offer diving and sailing. Swimming with turtles, Coral reef snorkeling, diving and beautiful beaches and a supermarket are all walking distance as well as souvenir shops. A hot tub, large L-shape pool and large baby pool provides ample fun for kids all ages. Enough pool chairs around the pool and chairs overlooking the ocean. We had a newly renovated room, with private balcony, good size room, the best showers and very comfortable beds. Playground for kids and very friendly staff that entertain and look after younger children. A well stocked bar where light lunches can also be ordered from during the day is located very close to the pool with excellent service during the day. The spa is worth mentioning, with prices inline with what you would pay elsewhere. Vanessa and her team were welcoming and the spa ambiance ensure instant relaxation. We asked for a packed breakfast on one of the days we had to leave early for a day trip, it was sufficient but could improve by adding a drink and fresh sandwiches.
We had issues with internet signal and television channels in our room. The staff were actively trying to restore service but it remained an issue throughout our stay of 2 weeks. Signal around the reception and pool area was fine though. Each night had a different theme representing cuisine from all over the world eg Chinese, Indian, Italian, Mauritian and BBQ. It lacked kid friendly options though. Our 8 year old had a garden salad and desert for dinner every night. Coral Azur is in the process of upgrading their resort, including the restaurant with ongoing renovations that was at times loud and noisy.

I liked everything about the hotel, nice comfortable rooms, beautiful view, friendly staff, good food. The location was great also. hotel service was excellent. A big thank you to Jennifer Lo, a truly a great professional host to this resort, and gave a good image to this hotel . Thank you Jennifer and hope to see you soon.

The view
Our room was not ready when we got there, they made a mistake with our booking, so we had to settle for a smoking room which was gross. The lock on our door broke while we were out and only upon our arrival when we went to enquire why our key wasn't working they told us it broke. The bar is off-the chart expensive as well as the buffet restaurant and it was not great food, to say the least. Our room had wallpaper peeling from teh walls, and there was nothing to watch on the tv, it was just a snowy screen.

Amazing Location and very good views. The rooms were pretty clean and the live band in night was amazing. Ambience was very nice.
Everything was good except the staff behaviour when we asked a simple question on vegetarian options. There was Chinese buffet and we simple asked the chef if there will be vegetarian options. The chef started quoting how Indians come here and then complaint about pure veg and get it cleared from reception.
The receptionist and chef talked in their native language and while I couldn't understand it, the facial expressions and body language was pretty unwelcoming. We said them let it be and moved on. Nobody cared to check with us again.
Thankfully there was an Indian restaurant opposite the hotel and we had our lovely dinner with no judgement.
