We had a delayed flight - our room was ready at 3am with food in our rooms as we had missed dinner. Staff especially Molly, but everyone made us feel like it was home, from the security at the gate and especially the staff at the pool and restaurant. The Spa was wonderful, rooms were beautiful. I enjoyed my stay at the Sands Suites and have plans to return! It’s very obvious the hotel is guest-centric and is motivated to provide people with the best experience they can provide. I stayed in mid Oct and the weather was great. It is as beautiful as pictures. It’s a large hotel but still has a cozy feel. There are multiple activities to keep you busy throughout the day and/or opportunities to chill. My stay overlapped with Diwali and there were some nice Diwali activities to enjoy. Breakfast and dinner buffets were wonderful…breakfast options are generally the same however dinner rotated between a variety of cuisines (seafood, Italian, Mediterranean, Mauritius, etc). The included amenities are wonderful. I enjoyed the sauna+hammam, snorkeling, waterskiing, fitness walks to Tamarind, personal training sessions…all included in the stay. Cocktails and drinks were reasonably priced. Lunch options less reasonably priced but still within acceptable prices considering the overall vibe. There was also nice live entertainment on selected days. Many thanks to Sunny, Sheila, entertainment staff, servers, all front desk associates and managers (apologies for forgetting names to acknowledge people properly). Everyone was helpful and pleasant…wonderful people who contributed to a wonderful stay.

Stayed in October for 3 nights and had an amazing experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and communicated exceptionally well to ensure everything was ready for us. The room was beautifully presented with a thoughtful welcome gift, and we were well looked after throughout our stay. The half-board option was excellent—dinners were expertly prepared with a different theme each night, offering true 5-star quality. We loved being able to step straight from our room to the beach or pool and enjoyed the free activities, including water skiing. Perfect location to explore the south island and dolphin tours that leave from Flic en flac which is only 5mins away.

We felt that Sands Suites Resort and Spa was the perfect location for us and the best on Flic en Flac Beach! We were there for our 20th anniversary and the staff made everything so special for us, from decorating our room on our actual anniversary, to when we arrived at the restaurant for dinner that night, they had a special table set up with candles and flowers, and not only that, but they surprised us and the chef made us an anniversary cake. This place was incredible and the service is the best I’ve ever experienced anywhere in the world. The restaurant does such a great job of accommodating every dietary requirement. For breakfast, they have fresh fruits, yogurts, breads, freshly made Belgian waffles, crêpes… You name it they have it. For dinner they have a rotating menu to keep things exciting. They always have multiple vegetarian options as well as several different kinds of vegetables, fruits, meats. It really is incredible. One of the other things that we thought was so amazing was that we had to check out at noon and our flight wasn’t until 11 PM that night. The hotel stored our luggage and let us hang out at the resort all day and they even have a changing/shower room so you can get ready before your flight. It was almost as if we had not checked out at all. We also had arrived at nine in the morning when check-in wasn’t until three in the afternoon and our room was ready for us when we got there and they brought us a plate of freshly baked pastries, as well as lattes and cappuccinos. I am still blown away at the service from this hotel. I looked at every hotel on Flic en Flac beach and I can honestly say Sands Suites is the absolute best. The property is immaculate, the water pressure in the rooms was amazing, the beds were super comfy and the AC was nice and cold. The pool area is stunning and they’ve got about 30 loungers plus several more loungers down on the beach if you don’t wanna sit around the pool. The views from this hotel are also amazing.
