The location is fantastic, otherwise I have nothing else positive to say.
I would never recommend staying here to anyone. My first night the place flooded, which one of the staff members said happens every time it rains...
The wifi doesn't work at all, and there is no cell service inside to connect to data.
Worst of all, the woman in the bunk across from me had visible bite marks all across her face, which she said she got from sleeping in the bed at this place. When I brought this up with the hostel, they dismissed my concerns, refused to give me a refund because I did not feel comfortable staying there and risking bringing bed bugs back with me, and were overall incredibly unhelpful.

The location was nice, and the check-in and out process was easy. The hostel itself was cheap, and you get what you pay for.
The hostel is extremely unorganized. No onsite staff to talk to at all. Only a single door code to get into the hostel, which doesn't change, so a random Bangladeshi man just squatted in the hostel, taking up another paying customer's bed. Both nights of my stay, I came home to a random person sleeping in my assigned bed and had to find an alternative bed to sleep in.

Host doesn't answer the phone at any time of the day, the bed was unmade and wasn't prepared for my stay. Especially if you're a women, it doesn't fell safe at all here

Only 1 bathroom for male and 1 bathroom for female. In all the floors. It's located in the ground floor. Not convenient to go down from 3rd floor in the middle of the night.

1. They said about check out was 10:30. But around 9:30 someone come to room and started to change the bed sheets with me inside. No respectful! I saw he putting same bed sheet used again in the bed. Also ask me if I will leave the room because someone was coming. But still 9:30 !!
2. Bad smell in the kitchen and bathroom !

Pest Control Issue: Upon arrival, I discovered insects/bugs in the room, which necessitated disinfection of the accommodation before it was habitable.
Electrical Infrastructure Deficiency: The upper bunk bed area lacks proper electrical outlets. This forced me to purchase an extension cable at my own expense to access power for my devices, as the existing socket was not accessible from the sleeping area.

My tip to you: ask for a bed on the top floor (it's bunk beds 1 to 8).
The mattress and pillow were fine to me but other guests complained though.
The building is falling apart. One of the showers had a tear in the floor where water would leak through. you can hurt yourself if you misstep and I don't want to think of the mold that's gathering.

The place really clothe to the main streat of la valette.
Usefull if you arrive late for the first night in malta.
Quite noisy.
People pass where you sleep to go to the next floor.

Location
Everything. The people. There is no personnel. No lift (so you need to carry your luggage 3 dangerous stairs). Unfriendly other (sometimes drunk) guests. You have to walk 3 stairs to go to the bathroom in complete darkness. A couple of my things where stolen. DON'T GO HERE.

Hostel without CONTROL,rooms without doors, anyone can enter and you can also SMOKE, then since there no doors the smoke circulates everywhere, it was pointed out that a guest was drunk and smoking, no one came to sanction the guest. I LEFT THE HOSTEL 2 NIGHT EARLY.
